[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG OLED C9 was a huge upgrade from our Sony LED. We have been blown away by the entire package. First, the design. The profile of the TV is so sleek and minimalistic. We have no qualms with having it mounted above our fireplace. In addition to the look, the ports and inputs are very easy to manage. There were plenty of HDMI 2.1 ports on the side of the TV for all of our needs. The HDMI 2.1 has been a nice addition for Apple TV. We previously couldn't take advantage of 2.1, but now we can. Along the lines of design, the Magic Remote is a nice feature of the C9. The remote feels great in your hand. It has good weight and easy to use. It took a little getting used to the point and click, but once we got accustomed it became a breeze! The overall setup was very easy and intuitive. It was nice that once all devices were connected that the TV recognized the devices and auto labeled them. The picture is really what sets the C9 apart. I am blown away by the overall picture. The blacks are so true. This really helps an image pop. Also, the out of the box accuracy of the picture is unreal. We use the ISF Bright Room setting and are very satisfied with the overall picture. We still plan on having the TV professionally calibrated to get the best out of it. We've really enjoyed taking advantage of 4k content on the TV. Even in our bright living room, the 4k content is rich and vibrant. The details are amazing! The one area I noticed lacking was the webOS. We got the popular apps, but we are a HUGE sports family and there is no support for ESPN or MLB TV. This was a disappointment, but overall not a hinderance. The look and feel of the webOS is nice. It is very easy to navigate and use. The Home Dashboard is a nice feature to have access to all of the connected devices and smart features in one place. Overall, this TV is amazing and I am very happy with the performance and quality! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Mesmerizing OLED Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG C9 OLED TV has brought a TV viewing experience to another level, a level that not many other TV makers can boast about. As soon as you turn the TV on, you can see a huge difference in picture quality: movies look cinematic, cartoons come to life and look pretty amazing, you cannot take your eyes off. I also like the design of this TV, it does not interfere with the decor of the living room. The screen is so thin, you may want to handle it with extra care when unpacking and moving this TV. I like the stand for this TV too as it has a good weight to it and the TV sits securely in it. The sound is pretty impressive and usually that is the weakest point of any TV, however LG integrated its speakers on the bottom of the set and the sound is routed via the stand out to the spectator. Make sure you have Dolby Atmos enabled as it only enriches the sound experience and makes it even better. This TV has a very intuitive operating system called WebOS, it is very easy to use and with the help of the Magic remote supplied with this TV, you can watch 4K content available on Netflix, YouTube and other providers. There is a Web store where you can download games and other apps. HDR and 4K content makes this TV stand out so much, our family and friends are always floored when we get together for a movie, I am glad LG has implemented a number of latest technology into this set. I love love having Google Assistant and Alexa integrated in the TV as well! You can view the weather forecast, ask Google to turn on or off your TV or switch to another input, the opportunities are endless here. There is also a web browser, 300 or more Internet channels, Gallery to show off your pictures and so much more to explore with this amazing OLED TV! I believe that once you go OLED, you will never go back to a conventional LED TV. LG has perfected their OLED TVs so much already, and I cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us consumers! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

One of the Best OLED TVs! Read the Review!

Reviewed in the USA on 2019-05-17T17:00:00

LG has done it again with OLED C9 series TV - it is one of the best TVs currently on the market! Last year it was LG's C8 OLED TV and one would not think that there was any way to improve it and make it better, however LG engineers had a lot to offer and made OLED C9 series stand out once again. I thought I would never say that, but I find this TV almost perfect in its design and function. First of all, I'll throw some technical terms out there: HDMI 2.1, eARC, Variable Refresh Rate , HDR10 - all these are new upgrades and best of all, they futureproof this TV for the years to come. LG also improved and upgraded its Alpha 9 to Gen 2 processor which is responsible for image processing with the help of AI (artificial intelligence) as well as AI enabled sound improvements and even its smart functions are being AI analyzed (WebOS with ThinQ AI). Basically, all the above mentioned features make this TV produce superb image quality, amazing quality sound and ease of use in navigation whether you are you switching inputs or changing something in the Settings. I believe these are pretty important things as we are all looking for these features when buying a new TV. I am also impressed by the aesthetics, i.e. design of this TV: it has a very thin OLED panel that is supported by a pretty hefty stand that gives me a lot of confidence that this TV is very stable (last year model, not so much). Even the back panel looks very clean and has cable management system to make it all tidy. The stand itself with its angled edges does not protrude a lot and functions as a virtual 5.1 surround sound distributor as the speakers are located right above it, and man does this TV sound great! As I mentioned earlier, its WebOS has been improved and is easy to maneuver around, all your Apps, inputs are intelligently organized. To make it even easier to navigate menus, LG gives you their Magic Remote. Its rubbery button layout is nice and has Netflix, Amazon Prime Video devoted buttons to start up your movies. The Mic button activates Google Assistant and with the help of voice commands you can change channels, turn your TV off, check weather - the sky is your limit. And if you like Amazon Alexa, LG will be bringing an update later on to enable the assistant. Also support for Apple AirPlay 2 is coming later this year too. All in all, LG OLED C9 is an outstanding TV with superb PQ, pure blacks, popping colors, excellent off angle viewing, crisp sound and simply an engineering beauty. The first one I got had small black horizontal line on the left side and small white horizontal lines on the right side. While waiting for the new set to arrive, we kept watching it. About 24-hours later the tv shut off and had two burn marks in the bottom left corner. Very sad. It was a March 2019 build. The new one, May 2019 build has been perfect. *** The vendor actually delivered an E9 instead of a C9 to begin with, and that is the one that burned up. The photo shows the E9, but it has the same panel as the C9. *** [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

TV's shouldnt be this good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The review model is a 65” LG OLED C9 model for 2019 First let me reiterate from the opening statement that TV's shouldn't be this good (not that I am complaining) but seriously with a TV this good where do you add features or get any better than this. Second the TV is beyond my wildest expectations compared to what I was used to using or seeing on a daily basis. The TV I am replacing is a LG 55” LED model from about 8 years ago. That TV has been loved and used and has been good to me but it was time to get a new one and then I somehow talked my wife into letting me buy this amazing piece of modern technology. After this TV got delivered I was like a little kid in a candy store and was just awestruck as I unboxed it and took off all the wrapping and styrofoam and I thought no way this TV can stand up to all the hype I have seen for OLED tv's for a few years now and to my wonderful surprise it did and then it surpassed the hype by a great margin. After I hooked it up to some 4K HDR content I was blown away and had to rewatch one of the shows I had previously watched in regular HD. The picture quality is so good I find myself sometimes not believing it and just staring at the TV trying to figure out if the director meant to show all the blemishes on the actors or they got lazy and didn't think we had this good of a TV. Oh yeah sorry I forgot to talk about all the wonderful features the TV offers as well. I just recently started using YouTube TV for my cable TV subscription and love the built in APP to use the service it makes life so much better then starting the show on my phone and then casting it to another device to display on my TV. The google assistant is amazing with its built in uses, I sometimes find myself messing with my wife and turning off the bedroom light with the google assistant. One of my favorite things about this TV is that it has gretaly reduced the glare that I have on the TV and this is especially awesome because my TV sits directly across from a huge window. Pros: 1. Amazing picture 2. Amazing list of features 3. Amazing sound 4. Best HDR available on TV's 5. Newest HDMI version (future proofing) 6. Beautiful design 7. Best possible viewing angels 8. Almost completely removes glare Cons: 1. A little higher price (not overly priced though) well worth the price almost not a con 2. NOTHING else. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion

The Best Gets Even Better!

Reviewed in the USA on 2019-08-14T17:00:00

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I am completely blown away by this TV. I thought my 2016 LG OLED TV was good...and it was. But they have really taken it to a new level with the improvements over the last 3 years. The overall picture quality of OLED can not be beat - that's long been the consensus amongst us audio/video-philes. But the fact that they were able to take the best and make it even better...well, it's nothing short of amazing. The truest blacks you will ever see on a TV, now with even brighter brights and better HDR. It's a truly breathtaking visual experience and let's face it - when you buy a TV the #1 most important thing is the picture quality. Not only is the OLED screen itself a site to behold, but LG has included all the settings you could possibly need to fine tune it exactly to your taste. The first thing I would suggest is turning off TruMotion - this is what causes the "soap opera effect" that makes movies and TV shows look like they were filmed using cheap home video cameras. Although for some crazy reason every TV manufacturer ships TV's with this type of feature enabled by default so I think a lot of people just thing it's the way modern TV's are supposed to look. It's not! Turn it off! The other settings can be set to your taste and there are plenty of places online to get expert suggestions on those as well. But suffice it to say, this TV has every setting you could possibly want to get the best picture on the best tv in the world! But LG didn't stop at that. The "Smart" aspect of this TV has me as a gadget geek just absolutely giddy! This is also a huge improvement over my 2016 model. The remote is much improved and sets nicely in your hand and works as easy as a mouse with a computer. And when you press the mic button, magic happens - you can search for a show or movie and LG will display everywhere it's available that you have connected to - Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu - as well as all the places you can buy or rent it - Fandango, Google PLay, Vudu. No more switching from app to app trying to find it - LG does it for you! But that is just the beginning - this TV also has the Google Assistant built in. Check the weather - or your calendar - or turn off your smart lights all from your TV remote. And the way it displays responses is brilliant - it doesn't take over your whole screen. You can still have your show or game going - it just shows on the bottom or the side. It's awesome. Needless to say I am BLOWN away by this amazing OLED TV! I re

We have the Lg oled 65 in c9 and it's the best decision we have ever made. The picture quality is amazing completely clear and makes you feel like you are actually watching it live in person right in the comfort of your own home. It is a pain to hang but thats just because its so fragile so was worried about breaking it. We are completely in love with our new tv and we could never go back to a plain lcd again. The remote is a little of a pain because we keep having to rehook up our bluray because its threw a surround system but im sure we will figure it out. I got this TV back in late 2019 and loved it. After about 3.5 years of light use, a red vertical line showed up in the middle. There was nothing to be done other than replace the panel. Since that was the same cost as a new TV, it was essentially shot! Great TV, but that's a short life for an expensive item.

I bought C9 65” two days ago. The picture is gorgeous but I have about 6 deal pixels in line. Some pixels turn black but after some time start working. Very disappointing, either bad QA from LG or they just think it's satisfactory to sell TV with dead pixels. LG supplies panels for Apple's MacBooks and I've never seen a single dead pixel in all my Macs or iPhones / iPads. I guess Apple reflects defective panels while LG put them on the market.
