I've been using my Fenix 7 for about a month. The workout tracking features are good - it accurately captures about 80% of my reps and it's easy to correct on the fly. Building your own workouts is easy enough. On the trails it's been fun to use with the family on a couple hikes and provides good data for cardio goals when solo. Other than that smart watch features are adequate, it looks great and does everything I need.
I was devastated to have recently lost my Fenix 6 at Laguardia airport (through security checkpoint). I really didn't want to spend the money for a new Fenix, I'd only my 6 for a little over a year. I ended up getting a Fenix 7-47mm. What a huge upgrade, I'm an avid runner and I love the touch screen, fast(er) and accurate GPS, great looks. the sharp display, not a derivative upgrade like other watches. I've been really happy with my 7.
I am 73 years old. I bought this over a year ago and am amazed by all the features. Between it and Training Peaks, i can record and keep track of all my training. With this help, I was successful in running Rim to rim to rim of the Grand canyon in 19 hours last September, a 55k in December, a 50k in January and 25 miler in March. Tomorrow I am heading back up to the canyon for a faster R3. Pace Pro on the Fenix has helped me to substantially reduce my time and keep me going. It is much like having my own personal pacer. Highly recommend this watch and I do to everyone I talk to.
Truly an awesome investment when I purchased my Garmin Fenix 7, the battery life is amazing and the activity and body tracking features are superb. I wear it everyday and night and my Fenix is now my body and activity coach here on our, thank you Garmin for a truly remarkable smartwatch and fitness tracking device.
I bought this watch about three weeks ago. It's a solid watch I love it I had two Iwatches and two fit bit watches and they broke or crack the screens. With the Fénix 7 is a solid, rugged watch. I love it.
I bought my fenix 7 three weeks ago after 4 years of wearing my 935. I'm really impressed by the new features, especially the ability to connect via Bluetooth to my earpods. Listening to music and getting audio cues during my workouts has been amazing!
I bought it a month ago, I was using the Venu which is also very good, but I am a date lover and this watch gives me much more and more detailed information. From how you slept, how much time you need to recover, how productive your training was, heartbeat, VO2, jet lag, navigation maps... in short, for data lovers, like me, it's a gem! I use it mostly for running, although I do different sports. Garmin has very high standards, always satisfied with their products!
I bought this watch about a month ago. Looked at the Instinct, bought the vivoactive4 instead. Really liked it and nothing was wrong with it but the fenix7 was calling to me. Retuned the vivo, purchased the Fenix and I have never enjoyed a watch more. I believe I may have a crush on it. I wear it 24/7. I will be honest it may be too much watch for my fitness lifestyle but I wouldn't trade it for a luxury watch. I'm still learning the setup and how best to use it. I'm a golfer, hiker and CrossFit athlete. All at beginning levels but I'm consistent. Only thing I did was change out the band. I still use the silicone band during workouts but clean and change after. I can't se buying a different watch. Maybe the fenix10 whenever that comes out.
Very good battery life. Finds satelites fast enough. Everything works just fine except for the sleeping log. That doesn't work at all for me. When I'm in bed it seems that the fenix 7 thinks I'm asleep. So when I've had the worst sleep ever the watch can tell me that I had a perfect night and is prepared for everything. Quite annoying to say the least. But it still get a 4/5 star from me since everything else about it is awesome.
The Fenix 7 Watch came damaged right from the package. This is all the screen shows.
