Excellent sound, simple pairing, reliably reconnections to the BT source. Like all Sony BT speakers this one has excellent sound. The only miss is one that all BT speakers from Sony that I've owned share; no power level indicator (not even an LED) or support for a power level indicator on the phone's display.) Nevertheless, with battery run time to spare - this compact BT speaker is excellent in the rental car cup holder, on the desktop or in the backpack or briefcase, even clipped to a belt while outside or around the house. Without the privacy failings that “sponsored” or “underwritten” speakers carry (from popular search engines or online merchants) this speaker is excellent - FIVE stars out of FOUR!!!
This little speaker packs a punch. I've loved it since the day I got it. Shortly after I got it, I noticed it had a feature called "Add A Speaker." Unbelievable! I had no idea I could wirelessly connect two speakers to my smartphone simultaneously! I immediately ordered another one. It's like having portable surround sound! Amazing! Great product with amazing sound quality and my very own "portable wireless surround sound!"

I live in an area with bad FM radio reception, so I got the Sony Extra Bass Wireless Speaker. Easy to Bluetooth to my Android phone. All I can say is WOW!!!!! This speaker for its size and low price is a super must have item!! Now I can listen to my classic rock FM radio stations while in my bathroom or garage. I'd give 10 stars if available.
I love this thing. I like listening to music in the shower and this is great. It has great sound quality. This thing really holds a charge. I've had it for several years now and I've only had to fully charge it twice. I definitely recommend getting this.
My speaker got submerged in water when the river rose after a storm . Everything got flooded out . This speaker was floating in water for 3 days I dried it out turned it on works just fine . IF YOU NEED WATERPROOF SPEAKER THIS SONY SRSXB12 MAX BASS IS IN FACT WATERPROOF
Purchased 9/13/19 and I love the sound quality. I purchased for use in the shower. I'll hang it on the supply tube behind the shower of water. I am impressed with the base response.

Got this Sony Bluetooth speaker. Sound quality and size is great. But how do you shut it off? Blue light stays on for a long time with numerous times pressing the button and Bluetooth button off
Horrible speaker for the money. I totally wish I bought a Bose instead. I had planned to buy 4 and have some surround sound at work. After the first one I purchased.... I'll never buy another. No bass like they say, sound is super quiet, if you use it outside you're better off just using your cell phone because this does nothing to amp up the sound. Maybe I got a bad batch, but without the receipt and box no one will take it back... Save your $50 and get a Bose. I regret going with sony now. Bose you can't go wrong!!!! Sometimes I just want to throw this piece of crap in the trash. I've had no name brands sound better than this. Hopefully it's defective bc otherwise it's giving Sony a bad name. But I can't get anyone to take it back bc I don't have the box to see if it's really defective. Just don't buy one if you want sound and there's absolutely no bass like they advertise!!
