I painted 5 portraits and have been looking for the best way to frame them. I spoke to a famous artist and he suggested how I frame and protect my 5 oversized paintings. I am so happy that you had what I needed and the paintings look professional! I did them over 10 years ago and I am very proud of my art with no background in art but a figment of what I saw in my mind.
Very pleased with this order of 6 frames. They arrived in a self contained, tight, form fitted box. They are in pristine condition.I used one right away.First removing the outer plastic wrap, and then the plastic film protecting the Plexiglas. I flipped the frame upside down and removed the 4 frame parts away from the Plexiglas, then lifting the layers of paper and cardboard ,I inserted my poster and then replaced the paper and cardboard, and then finally and carefully installed the frame pieces.Happy with the results.
If you are looking for a basic sleek picture frame while on a budget, it’s likely you won’t find a better option than this. Overall, the frames work well and are easy to assemble. I must note that I’ve noticed the edges where the black frame pieces meet aren’t always flush, but it’s not very noticeable. Also, the clear plastic sheet that protects the poster isn’t always exactly the same size as the frame background (however the black frame pieces cover that up).
This size was hard to find at a low price but this was a disappointment, wish I had spent more for better quality. It arrived with a broken corner. I kept it because the black edge hides most of the broken area. It’s ok for a dorm room or maybe kids room as it’s cheap plastic.
For the price of the frame I’m happy, since I’m cheap, but overall this frame isn’t very good. The whole process to get the poster in and secure it was an annoyance. My 16x20 poster wasn’t a clean fit inside of the frame as well, it was just a tad big but I just smushed it in. Also not sure if it’s the plastic, or if it’s because the poster is glossy but it gives off a lot of reflections and doesn’t look very crisp.
Purchase these for my son's posters, I didn't expected the highest quality, but they aren't even fair quality. The back board and plastic front don't fit tightly together leaving a gap and making the posters have 'waves' in it. I will be purchasing better quality frames, but these will due until then. Don't waste your money.
You cannot beat the price. $2.50?! Crazy. I ordered four, and one arrive cracked. They replaced it quickly. You definitely get what you pay for, and they are flimsy. You need to secure the corners in the back with duct tape or something because the plastic railings will eventually slip. But if you have a cheap poster that you wanna frame, you could give this a try.
I was very disappointed with the quality and appearance of my frames when they came in. First and foremost, when shipment arrived and I opened the box, there was one strip of protective wrap around the frame, not even covering the length of the whole frame. Both frames couldn't even be used due to being shattered at the edges. One of them even was shattered down the middle and completely beveled like it was bent in half. I was looking forward to being able to use these frames, but in reality I lost out on a weeks worth of time and they were in such bad shape that I lost out on the money spent for them. It is also pretty virtually impossible to send shattered frames back. In the future, frames like this (esp of this size) should be wrapped more constructively to protect them.
The frames themselves seem ok especially for such a cheap price, but we bought 4 frames and almost all of them were cracked and had pieces of the front plastic come off. The box they were delivered in was smashed in so they were most likely not handled well.
I had delivery instructions posted on my account regarding the mailroom that is attached to my apartment building, the frames were left outside of my building instead when I wasn't home lol. Not only were they left outside during a wet winter day but they weren't even in a box they were just tossed there, which lead to the frames either having chips, scratches and broken pieces since the protective plastic wrap was all torn apart. I'm honestly really disappointed especially since these were delayed and didn't even arrive on time. I ordered three of these so the cost does added up, smh
