I was very leary to buy this because of the poor reviews. I have to say i love it. The one i recieved was very sturdy good quality wood. It is bigger than i exspected and fits my peanut butter and a whole loaf of bread if not more. The delivery was great it came in a big box full of packing peanuts and the bread box had a wrapping around it so it was very protected. The only issue i had was the magnet was very strong and was hard to open with one hand. So i took two pieces of electrical tape and placed them over the magnet. Now i can open the box one handed and it stays shut perfectly. I was very happy with this purchase and im so glad i bought it. Still worth the five stars!

I ordered 3 Alex Marie bread box and was so disappointed to receive all of them defective/poor quality. I ordered 3 just because I don't want to take the chance that if I ordered just one and came defective (as what I have read in the poor reviews), I would not be be able to order again as they might be out stock once I received it. After waiting for such a long time for it be in stock again,I received all of the three defective. First bread box, the door has a hole,dirt and scratch and chipped on the upper edge near the knob , cover/door not aligned with the tiny magnetic closure so the door falls back. Second bread box, door floral paper looks dirty, cover/door not aligned with the tiny magnetic closure.Third bread box, has chipped on the upper frame and dirt on the top of knob and top of the bread box has white stuff/dust like, cover/door not aligned with the tiny magnetic closure. Don't get me wrong, I love Pioneer Woman products but this product seems to have poor quality.
Pretty, but poor quality! Door not aligned properly and magnet was broken off. Small pins that allow door to open/close are not sturdy and fall out! May try to repair with new magnet and door hardware. Also was very dirty. Ridiculous!
I am so disappointed. I have wanted this box for months. Put my name on the notify me list way back and finally got the notice. I got out of bed and purchased at 2am or something. When it finally came the front piece was warped and the box wouldn't close. I called right away to get a replacement and it was out of stock again. I am sooo upset. Will not look at another item from Pioneer woman because of this.
Upon opening the box, the first thing to catch my eye was the red reject sticker. Upon further inspection, there is a scratch thats about 6 inches long across the front. Im thoroughly disappointed in this, seeing how that someone obviously did not do their job properly. The chat would not allow me to speak to a real person, it was a real that only provided the option of returning, and a refund once they received notification. What I really wanted was this product. Guess what, its out of stock. What a disappointment. Otherwise the print is beautiful, and the box is nice.
I really thought I would like this but I am dissatisfied. The only thing I love about this, is how it looks. Don't get me wrong, I love pioneer woman collection and I've collected tons of them and I love most of them except for this bread box. I just wasted my money. It's not sturdy.
I am sooooo disappointed!! I should not be after reading some of the reviews. I opened the box - it was packaged very well. Should have been no damage from shipping. The plastic bag covering the bread box was not damaged! The damaged had to have been before packing. There was a big scratch across most of the box. Then I look closer and there is a orange sticker at the end of the big scratch that says "REJECT" IN ENGLISH AND CHINESE. They shipped me a box that had been rejected!! Please check out the picture, I am not sure it is big enough to read the words but they are on there! I do not expect this from the Pioneer Women Brand. At least I didn't before. Returning immediately and will not be reordering!!
The first thing I noticed was a large scratch across the bottom of the flowers. I considered looking beyond that because this bread box is so adorable, but the door and the magnets didn't line up properly. The magnets are also too small and weak for the weight of the door. The door would fall open with any slight move to the surface the box is on, or even near the box. VERY disappointed. I chose this theme for my kitchen and was hoping they would have taken the previous reviews into consideration and improved the quality of this box.
BROKEN, $40 should get a little better quality also, unhinged door, nothing lined up, yep, took it back, beautiful doesnt work if broken!! Sticking with the dishes.
