these socks are great! they don't bother me at all and i definitely got what i paid for! would recommend.
I bought these to replace older Hanes that had eventually worn out in the soles. They fit and feel great. My only concern is that they are noticeably thinner than my prior pairs so I don't know if they will hold up as long (hence the 4-star rating instead of 5).
I was hoping to replace a set of Hanes gray crew socks that I bought a few years ago. They fit well and had substantial thickness and are among my favorites but finally wearing through. These looked the same on the website but when they arrived, I was disappointed. They are more like tube socks despite having a little heel area. They are large like tube socks and not well fitting. The material is lighter than my previous ones. I'm trying to wash and shrink them and see if they feel thicker after that but at this time I wouldn't buy these again.
Hanes Mens cushion ankle socks wicking cool comfort. Poorly made. Inside of sock is extremely rough. Do not recommend! Very disappointed in Hanes for making these. Trying to find mostly cotton socks from Hanes is next to impossible.
I have several aging pairs of these socks. They are thick and soft and my favorites. All attempts to find their equal, be it in stores or on line, have met with disappointment. Hanes must have changed their methods or materials or both because they are not what they used to be.
When I first bought this product over six months ago it was made with mostly cotton which I really liked. But now the product is made with 98% polyester which I really hate. Why the change?
Very poor quality! No comparison to Hanes socks from a few years ago. Very thin , no cushioning. Socks along sides of heels developing holes and runs after only 5 hours of wear!! Husband stated no way would he try to use for running. Was a Christmas present for him . Very Very disappointed that Hanes Brand would allow this product to leave the factory . What happened to QA before shipping from factory ???????!!!!!!!! BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!
i am very upset with the quality of the socks .they were paper thin. i am afraid to reorder any Haynes socks.
These are the worst quality socks I have ever purchased. The elastic part of the socks break everytime I put them on so that they don't fit snug around above my ankles/lower calves. After a couple months they are all stretched out and fall down when I put them on. I have never owned a part of socks where you literally hear the elastic bands breaking everytime you put them on.
The photo tells a story. The current style 185L6 is on the bottom, while the style H856 (circa 2009) is on the top. Both are Size: 10-13. Obviously that are not the same size. Notice how the current style is not shaped like a foot - it's straight. That cause the fabric to wrinkle and pucker at the top when it is bent into the shape of a foot. Notice too how much larger the current style is. I'm an 11-1/2 and it's way too big around for me, while cramping my toes. It's just a weird shape for a sock. The seam at the tow seems too low and the ribbed part at the top seems too short. There is so much extra fabric in the width that it flops when I walk without shoes. And with shoes, it bunches up. Those 2009 socks were great. Possibly the best I've ever had. Hanes called them "Perfect Toe" and that was not much of a stretch. Even after an untold number of washings, they still fit great and feel great. I just don't understand how a company that got it right would go to all of the trouble to change it to something that is so much worse.
