I received this as a gift from a family member who knew that I was looking for something more from my workout, I already have and use daily an elliptical machine as well as a stationary recumbent cycle. This rowing machine is a perfect compliment to my home gym as well as my exercise program!!
This is everything I expected! Everyone in the household gets a workout. I bought this product as an alternate form of exercise during bad weather when running was not an option. Three people use this rower daily!
This rower made you feel like you were in a canoe .. Felt great to row and get into shape!
I like this rower because its small and compact, but also does the job
Great for a beginner or for someone who exercises regularly. May also be good for cross-training. Easy to assemble! I would definitely recommend this piece of gear to anyone.
Great product. It does work the entire body. You can adjust it to a strong or light tension if you want to workout longer to build that endurance and heart strength or to workout heaver to build more muscle. The motion while using it does feel very natural and comfortable. I would recommend this product to friends.
AT 62 years old I am looking for a low impact method for weight loss and full body work out. This is what I have looked for, for sometime. I do 30 minutes a day for 3 days, then a day off, then again 3 on 1 off. I have been a walker for sometime, but that just did not provide the upper body workout. No, not looking for bulk, just to maintain and yes shape up the upper body. I can already tell the difference, and I have only been using mine now for a couple of weeks. Best money I have spent on equipment, (and I ride a $1200 bike)! As to durability, still too new to determine, but construction appears to be sound.
I gave the Precision Rower 4 stars instead of 5 because of two problems we are having with it. One, the tension often slips during rowing. This is jarring and breaks the rhythm. Two, the black plastic washer for the rowing arms is rubbing and falling apart. Otherwise, it’s just what we needed.
For a first time rower, this is a good deal. Admittedly, I have only had the rower for two weeks and two days, but I have used it almost every day. My mother has also been visiting for the last week and using it. Both of us warm up on the treadmill and then move on to the rower for a good workout. Fun: This is much more fun than a treadmill or elliptical. The sliding motion is smooth on this rower, as is the handlebar motion. Setup: It took 1.5 hours to put together. Usage: You will have to put some WD40 on the hinges within the first day or two. Mine has been silent after that, though. Make sure the bolts on the resistance are tightened well, too, or they'll slip down during use. Concerns: Wear and tear. I paid $200 for this, and I suspect that means it's only worth $100 at best. I purchased the 3-year warranty, and my hope is it will survive the three years. I honestly don't expect it to last longer, but maybe I'll be proven wrong. I would definitely recommend this based on my (limited) experience thus far.
I just put this together with the help of a friend and his tools. It was not hard to assemble, but did require tools that I did not have. A socket set or a good wrench is needed. I find the machine easy to use and it seems to target multiple muscle groups. It is flat enough to store under my bed when I need it out of my way. I look forward to using it regularly.
