Love this idk why I didn't purchased this sooner. Works well keeps my puppies in the kitchen. I love that it's super easy to open and close and it's super easy to just remove gate if you just want to clear the door way. I did modify the one wall mount to make it easier and faster to lock the gate. I only put one wall lock mount the correct way and the extra one that I had left, I installed sideways on the doorway just to give the gate a bit if support to kinda hold the gate from moving forward at all since I didn't want to use the lock system at the bottom. This makes it soon much easier instead of hooking both top and bottom lock I only use one at the top. Super happy with the my purchased.
Bought this to keep the dog downstairs. Was easy to install, other then I measured wrong so only the top locks. Besides my beginner level measuring skills the gate does exactly what I need it to do.
Gate was much better than expected at an excellent price. Easy installation, well built and a positive latching mechanism. I would recommend this gate for anyone in need of this type of item.
I got this gate to block off my kitchen from my grandson when he spends the night. I love to cook and wanted a swing gate to make if easier for me to go back and forth into the kitchen while still controlling my grandson from going into the kitchen and getting hurt. This gate does exactly that, and it was super inexpensive. It is not the most convenient or easily operated gate I have used, but did I mention it was super inexpensive. One feature that I really love is that when the grandson is not here it just lifts off the hinges and stores in the closet. Oh, its also super inexpensive.
It Was easy to put toguether looks great and stable. I am getting a second one for my baby playroom.
My husband was capable of installing and that says a lot in itself. He's not the handiest of men. We love that it swings and you don't have to step over anything. Just walk thru like normal. The latch does take a lil bit of getting use to. You have to fit a plastic piece into the top and bottom to lock it. It works great. Looks good. The dogs are scared of it and now stay out of the kitchen. (We don't really have to lock it anymore, they just stay out now). No more potential accidents. The only thing is that a really small dog can squeeze themselves under it, if you try to use it as a form of a cage. Reasonably priced too. Great delivery.
We have 3 of these gates to keep our pup inclosed in the kitchen. Works great. Easy to open and shut. We did not buy them all together. Bought one, decided we liked it bought the second, still liked it, bought the third. They are not fancy but the are functional.
Not always one-handed, hard to get the top and bottom catch both aligned as the gate is extremely floppy and flimsy. Once latched, sturdy enough, but I wonder how it would fare with an active toddler. I use it to keep my cats from going upstairs, and so far all but one have been fooled into thinking it is insurmountable, due to the solid looking grid., as opposed to bars. I had to construct a banister kit, using pieces of base molding, held on by Command picture hanging strips so as to not to drill into the wall or banister. I used 6 pairs of the heavy duty ones on the wall side, absolutely rock solid, probably could have gotten away with 4. Used 4 on the banister side, and a couple of zip ties just for good measure, again, rock solid. costs a lot less than banister kits, and removable.
I felt like it was hard to install, but once I stopped over thinking it, it went on ok and it is sturdy enough for my 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter.
The cups to mount the gate are between the two pieces that slide with no way that my husband or I could find to get them out from between the two sides so it was a waist of time and money.
