My son needed a new trimmer and I got him wahl beard trimmer and omg he has been thanking me since then that how efficiently this trimmer works. My son is a teenager and doing his beard is something new for him , he was using his dads and he always complained that it was pulling his hair and did not get clean shave , but wahl trimmer is amazing , which is smooth , fast and sharp. The trimmer comes with many attachments , and the storage bag for them and stand for the trimmer , the slim and sleek design makes it look great and travel friendly plus having the pouch for attachments is such a great concept as this way it won't get lost. I've been using this for a month at least now. It's been an easier month for me! This trims up my beard so well. Makes maintaining my facial hair a breeze. It takes me less than ten minutes from start to finish to trim up & then shave what's left, if any! It charges a lot quicker than other I've tried in the past & trims so much better. I've been using my Wahl Cordless Rechargeable beard trimmer for a month or two now and have been really impressed by the smooth and refined look following my shave. I generally like to look like I have a 1-2 day growth rather than a very close shave. The Wahl unit works perfectly to give me the exact look I'm going for. Just got this trimmer about a week ago and I have been nothing but pleased with how it performs so far. The trimmer feels and performs at the same level as the trimmer my barber uses. Trimmer comes with a nice carry case where you can store all the accessories (trimmer guides, oil, brushes, etc.). The adjustable trimmer guide works well but was not easy to change to different cut lengths. This may be due to the plastic construction but I am hoping that with time this will loosen up as I use it more. The only negative I have about this product is the noise level of the trimmer. It is not any louder than past trimmers I have had but I think it can be improved. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The beard trimmer works well. It is quite loud when turned on, that's somewhat of a pain when I'm using it to trim around my boys ears for their haircuts. The blade side of the trimmer is a bit scratchy and can hurt a little if it is used without a guard, like when I trim the back of my boys' neck at the hairline. The cool thing about the trimmer is that when the charge runs out, I can plug it into the charger and begin using the trimmer again right away, with no need to wait for it to charge. It is easy to hold and handles well. Took a little getting used to because the blade is so sharp, but when I figured out how to hold it so it didn't hurt/scratch my boys, it's been great.
I already had an old Wahl Beard trimmer (>12 yrs old) which is still working, so it was fun to compare this new one to the old one. First, the new one does not have that smaller clipper that the older one had, which was meant for finer mustache trimming around them mouth. The older one had this reversible clipper (you spin the head and then the smaller clipper was active), but truth be told, you don't really need the smaller clipper head and half the time I elected not to use it to clean up around the mouth. So, I don't blame them for dropping this feature. I don't know if its because they are using more powerful Lithium Ion batteries or something, but the new clippers seem more powerful. Consequently, they are louder/noisier, which was a bit jarring at first (especially using around the ears/sideburns), but overall its tolerable. They get the job done fast, which is probably the most important thing a guy wants. It fits well in the hand, and holds its charge for a very long time. Would have given it 5 five if they could somehow cut down on the loudness/noise, but again, that's only a minor quibble. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I like Wahl products, but this one seems pretty cheap. I have used it three times, no issues. My last clippers were Remington and they lasted about 4 years for the same price, and are more solid. If you are just looking to cut general or military cuts, this might be for you. I am not sure how long they will last though. Be sure to buy extra oil for the blades. It is nice that they are plug in, not chargeable.
