My dentist recommended one to me when the Soni-care toothbrush first came out. At the time I was having laser treatments on my gums, and he wanted me to go to a gum surgeon. I've used it for seventeen or more years. All my family use one. Both my sisters were able to avoid gum surgery by using one. Our grandmother had all of her teeth removed at the age of sixteen - think our family has a genetic gum problem. Am so grateful for Soni-care.
I bought this Sonicare about 3 months ago. My first Sonicare lasted years, maybe 5 or near 6. I have minimal plaque and tartar on my teeth, so that my teeth cleanings at the dentist are short and sweet, and my teeth are in excellent condition, the best of my life (76 years)
We have owned Sonicare rechargeable toothbrushes for almost 20 years and they have definitely helped us to have cleaner, healthier teeth. Our dentists always recommend Sonicare. We sometimes travel without taking them and really feel our teeth don't get as clean using a regular manual toothbrush.
My wife and I have been using Philips Sonicare products for at least twenty years...our initial usage was prompted by a recommendation of our family dentist...my wife has had severe gum problems in the past, and her Orthodontist attributes the current good state of her oral hygiene in no small measure to her daily use of her Philips Sonicare equipment.
I have used this brand of toothbrush for over 10 years now. I love this toothbrush. My teeth feel very clean after each use. My first toothbrush rechargeable battery lasted almost 10 years. It would charge but wouldn't last so got new one. I use old one to clean with...LOL...works great for that too!
This is my second sonicare toothbrush. When my first one quit working after several years, I knew without question I would replace it with another just like it. When brushing with a sonicare you know your teeth are clean, and it helps to keep your gums healthy as well. When and if this one quits working, I will purchase another. My first sonicare lasted for over 10 years. Thank you Phillips for a great product.:o)
There are so many different models it is some what hard to match up the base unit with the correct refill brushes. Wish there was a basic single digit code number on the base and the same number on the refill brush packs. You could easily match a 5 unit with a 5 brush. Needless to say I had to return my first pack of extra brushes that I bought at the same time as the new base and brush. They do have the model numbers, but the replacements brushes look so similar. Noticed some replacement brushes do not have the cover to help keep the head clean.
ALTHOUGH THE SONICARE TOOTHBRUSH DOES GET TEETH SQUEAKY CLEAN, IT IS NOT EASY TO USE. IT MUST BE HELD AT JUST THE RIGHT ANGLE AND TOUCHING TEETH WITH ANY NON-BRISTLE PART OF THE TOOTHBRUSH VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. BUILT-IN TIMER IS HELPFUL, THOUGH I FIND IT TOO SHORT.
Minimal but adequate features. Brush head is too small. I noted several different brush designs and what is that all about? The more you pay for the unit the more brush design changes. Not acceptable. At least provide the "best" brush for every model regardless of price.
While the product has good features, i.e., easy to clean, no need to recharge that often, looks good, nice carrying case, I am not happy with its performance. I don't feel the brush does such a great job. After brushing, I don't have that fresh just brushed feeling. If I run my tongue over my teeth they don't have that "clean feeling". I am very disappointed. I made several attempts to take it back, but the time expired.
