Very good phone

This phone has all the features that I wanted. When I first started using the camera I thought it only had the one way camera, no selfies. So I happened to run my finger across the screen while in camera and there I was! Very scary as I am not a nice looking person. But if you are into selfies, it's there. And it has all the other stuff you could want. I was way pleased. I am 72 so my hearing isn't the best but this phone has a good volume. Not a rock down your house volume but good. My only con is the size. I just wish it could have been bigger screen, but for the price and how well it works I will adapt.

I bought my phone for $20 on sale. You're not going to find a better phone at that price. It runs on AT&T towers which is a good thing for me. I like that I can talk and surf at the same time with AT&T which is something my brother cannot do with his Samsung S4 on Verizon unless unless he's on Wi-Fi. I've been happy with the call quality and I use the speaker phone frequently and am very happy with it.  I recently discovered that I can call at least three people and conference them all together with this phone. The camera is adequate. It doesn't take as good pictures as higher end phones like an iPhone or Samsung S series phone, but I don't expect much for $20. However, don't be fooled by the app that is associated with the camera that allows you to see the pic that you just took. I found that app shows me blurry pictures. I found that the quality of the pictures I take is much better with other picture viewing apps then with that particular app. For a long time I was thinking it was taking pics of much lower quality than it actually was. I don't get the strongest signal at my house, but even with one or two bars of signal I still have good data speeds. I just ran a speed test and got 4Mbps download and over 1Mbps upload speed. That's plenty fast enough to stream music or videos or surf the web. It has 890MB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Altho I have managed to run out of space for installing apps that's mostly because I have a lot of apps installed that I don't use. If you're going to take a lot of pics and videos then I definitely recommend adding a 32 GB microSD memory card. I have about 40 apps installed. Do not set the Google play store to automatically update apps. I found that it will take up valuable memory updating Google apps that I don't even use. Just update the apps you are using. The phone is reasonably fast, but it could definitely use more memory and a faster processor. I often experience significant delays when starting and stopping apps. I think the delays are mostly due to memory management tasks because it has to clear out old apps in order to start the new ones. If it had enough memory it would just leave all the apps in memory at the same time. But ultimately it gets the job done. Although I've had the phone for a year now I'm not sure what to say about battery life. I use my phone a lot playing games and I have it plugged in a lot. I do notice that when I put it in my pocket and go out the battery runs down a lot faster than when the phone is just lying around at home. Apparently a lot of the radio signals get blocked by my leg and cause it to have to work harder to maintain contact with the network. I highly recommend buying a couple of extra batteries and a standalone battery charger to keep them charged. The batteries are light and thin and fit nicely in any pocket and it's nice to have peace of mind that I'll have power to get me through the day no matter how much I use my phone. One thing I don't like about this phone is that the back, home, and menu buttons are part of the display itself rather than being separate buttons below the display. This takes up space on the display that is already not that big to start with. On some apps I find I do miss that lost display space, but it isn't a show stopper. Overall I would say this was a steal at the $20 I paid for it and I'd recommend this phone even in the $80 price range that it normally sells for. I'm considering upgrading to a higher end phone, but since this phone gets the job done I'm really in no hurry until I find just the right deal.
