its good, sometimes i add a little bbq seasoning to it and more sauce, but its fine how it is. good on bbq fully loaded nachos or even a loaded baked potato
I bought this thinking it would be a good, quick BBQ sandwich. I was somewhat disappointed in the flavor, and was more sauce-like than chunky meat.
The last few times I've bought it's just tasted bad, between the BBQ sauce and large chunks of meat with fat. It used to be shredded and taste good but now it's just pretty bad.
Personally we love the flavor... But when dinner guests have to remove chunks of an inedible substance...how embarressing!! his last purchase was really bad. Too many chunks to remove before serving.
I hate giving bad reviews but this barbecue is the worse I have had. Recently I have been purchasing at Walmart a pork barbecue that is in a white tub that states on the container it is the Charlotte raceway choice and we do like it very well....only I now have not been able to find it any more. So, I purchased two of the Lloyds and wish I hadn't. It's like pouring soup on bread, only soup would taste better. Actually the sauce part of it isn't that bad but there is not any real looking pork in it....some funky chunks swimming in a sea of sauce. Just awful.
Awful doesn't even described this fully. I used to pay this often, but we had not gotten it in awhile. We won't get it again. The meat is so "shredded" it looks and tasty ground. The sauce is bitter. Threw it in the trash. Don't waste your money.
I have bought this in the past to keep on hand for a quick meal. It has never been a gourmet meal, but it wasn't too bad. I haven't bought it for a while, but I decided to buy some this week. This time, it was very mushy with one large golf ball size wad of fat and gristle. A child or someone who can't chew well could have easily choked on it. I won't buy this again.
bought this for pulled pork over mac%26 cheese. I unfortunately bit down on an unseen large sharp chunk of solid bone. the chunk is the size of a quarter, and could have easily been a huge choking or injury problem for anyone; especially a child. As is, I cut my tungue a litle bitting onto it. super scary; because I also gave a bowl of this to my seven year old, before I found this bone.
I recently purchased this product thinking would make great quick fix sandwich. Upon opening, I was surprised to see very little shredded meat. What I did find were chunks of fat. The "shredded" meat was so fine and mushy and actually in way to much sauce. Tried making Bbq sandwich and the bun got soggy immediately. Tossed it and the container in trash. I usually never leave negative reviews on products but with the costs of food these days, these producers need to be aware and need to up their quality control.
i don't normally write reviewed on food but omg ick! the taste is STRONG not in a good way with a bad spice at the end. I've had this before and i don't recall it tasting this bad??
