I really do love this Roast Beef Philly Calzone and the Pepperoni one as well. I discovered these a couple years back when Walmart began carrying them and I'm so glad that I tried them. I wish that they came in more flavors! They are a really quick meal via microwave and I add shredded Italian blend cheese with a shredded Monterey Jack as well, to melt on top and it finishes it just right. I would definitely 100% recommend this Italian Calzone meal any day of the week! ♡
I have discovered these earlier this year, and have included a calzone in nearly every order since. I like the steak a little more than the pepperoni, but both are enjoyed, and have found them to be so much better than the negative reviews I have read (must be trolls working for competitors) I do not know what more you can expect at this price, I found them to be plenty cheesy and meaty enough where I wasn't wondering why there was not more. Enjoyed quick microwaving, or few more min in the oven. If disappointed sounding reviewers, who probably would complain if they were hung with a golden rope, want better - they can order a $8 calzone from the local pizza joint, and tack on another $6 for delivery (not including tip) Sure, fresh ingredients right out of the oven taste better - which is why it costs 4-5x more. I am betting if your pizza joint offered these at this price, they would sell as many, if not more of, their premium priced ones! I just hope this product continues to be offered at this price for the next few years
idk what everyone is rating this so low for. this was huge and full of filling. Well worth the money. Half the price of the sandwiches and bigger. The bread is really soft and it is kinda bland but the filling is really good. The inside was full of stringy cheese, philly steak, onions, and peppers.
i was overly surprised when i enjoyed this calzone. The taste was oh so fresh making me look forward to each next bite. I made it in the oven which keft a crispy crust to savor and then the 1.5 minute microwave was quite tasty too. This product is on my essential list now❤️
As with the pepperoni calzone, this one was enjoyable. Perhaps less meat than I would have preferred, but still good with plenty of cheese. Crunchy crust because I heated it in the toaster oven. I would really like a vegetarian version since I don't eat beef usually. Would get again.
This was one of the last things left in the freezer, so lucky me had it for lunch. This item had very little flavor- the strongest taste to it was raw flour. The filling- what there is of it- inspires the question “Where's the beef?” There are a (very) few small shreds of meat, and some generic cheese substance. Most of this thing though is white, gluey dough. We will not re-purchase this item, nor can we recommend it. Spend your three dollars on something else.
I ordered deli Philly cheese steak sandwiches (which my husband likes very much). Instead, I received philly steak calzones. I also ordered frozen pretzels but received frozen pretzel sticks. If I wanted these items, I would have ordered them.
Tried this for the first time and will never buy again. 95% cheese, just a little beef and very bland, it needs seasoning to give it some flavor and more meat, then they will sell like hot cakes.
Do not buy this unless you only want an empty calzone. That's exactly what I received. It had ONE bite of meat and some cheese. The flavor wasn't bad for what was there, just needs to look like the picture that's on the cover on the package.
This is NOT Philly Cheese Calzone. Few pieces of meat and rest of is full of cheese. I thought ok may be there are some meat inside. I keep biting then finished the whole calzone, there is not even an ounce of meat in the whole 8 oz. Compare original picture and actual one.
