I was happy to find a summer sausage that ships. This one is great quality in flavor and price. Really happy to have found it. We purchased and it arrived the very next day.
We serve this summer sausage with cheese and crackers, etc. on football get togethers. Everyone likes it. We also like it in omelets with cheese. I put a little of it in my gumbo %26 red beans and rice too to spice it up. Price point is good, and WM delivers it with the WM Plus plan that we have.
I thought this tasted like canned Vienna sausages, which I don't like. However, my husband likes Vienna sausages and still didn't like this and thought it tasted bad. So, I think this must be marketed to people with very specific taste buds.
I don't know if mine was just bad or what, but it was very soft. I questioned it then but opened it anyway. Big mistake. A milky substance drained out and I gagged. It made the entire house smell so bad that I actually quadruple bagged it then drove to a dumpster behind a store to throw it away.
Awful came to me rancid, I cut the pack open and there was milky white liquid coming out. Darn thing had the audacity of a best before 5/Aug/23. Never ordering this kind again completely ruined a good snack.
I purchased four of these, just to make certain i had plenty. never know when company may come. I opened and tasted the first one right away. When i opened it, the odor of eggs emitted from the package. okay, so i ate it anyway, thought maybe it was my imagination(i'm fine folks, no food poisoning or ill effects). The main reason that i would not recommend this product is because the taste is bland. Not to be insulting to the company that produces this item but i let my pets help finish off the rest of these , including the first one that i opened. another thumbs down in the taste market.
I never rate anything on here, but this - I ended up smelling, tasting and threw the whole thing in the trash. I use summer sausage in charcuterie boxes that I sell and decided to try this brand. I didn't want to ruin my reputation by serving it. The beads of hard stuff in it was also very unappealing. I will never try this again.
this was spoiled or sour tasting. like bad meat. it was also a mushy texture and not as firm as a summer sausage should be parts of it were a light greenish brown tint. horrible product and quality q
I was so nasty , and damaged
Something horrible has changed in the recipe or process. This was a mushy,smelly, and disgusting sausage or whatever it was. We have purchased these before and we're nothing like this last one. Tossed it in the trash.
