I ordered this my 12 year old niece who is starting to take crochet lessons at her local library. It took less time to arrive than predicted, and she was happily surprised when it got there in time for her next lesson. When she sent me an electronic thank you note to make sure I knew it got there, she made sure to let me know she was thrilled with it. When we got a chance to speak (she is one very busy young lady) she said it was perfect! The only thing missing in this kit is a pouch of some kind to hold the hooks for her while she is traveling to and from classes or while they are not being used.
Found this product at my local store and it was at a lower price than shown here. Both my wife and I have learned to crochet from this insightful instructional guide. The hooks and other items included are of superior quality and durability.
I purchased this kit so I could learn the art of crochet. Unfortunately I am having a very difficult time learning the skill. The guide is good but ocassionally confusing but the video is helpful. It would be helpful to have more views of the stitches from different angles. I believe the quality of the hooks is very good as I am familiar with the brand. I am disappointed there is no pouch to keep the supplies in...that would have been helpful. If the color of the yarn in the video was a little more bright and thinner it might be easier to see everything.
