This is an excellent game for children and also for children to play w/their families! It is a classic and a welcome change from the rapidly growing number of games which incorporate technology into their games! Technology is vital in our world today, however, sometimes it's really okay to just play a family game that doesn't require downloading or charging.
Planning for the younger ones on family game day, I purchased this game for my husband and I to try-out for the children. As it turned out, my husband and I had a wonderfully fun time returning to simpler fun playing Kerplunk for hours. We sat outdoors on at the patio table on the deck and played Kerplunk as we carefully pulled out those little sticks and tried not to make marbles fall. The kids will certainly have a great time giving this game their full attention time and again! If you want to work to rediscover the inner-child within the adult with simple means, then order Kerplunk and some other children's games such as Pick-up-Sticks, Monkey's in a Barrel, and UNO, to enjoy hours of laughter and fun. Family Game Day fun, all electronics get turned off and set aside for good food, laughter, board and lawn games; as well as Billiards and Darts!
Such a fun game! We bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas since we stayed at an airbnb earlier this year that had this game and the kids loved it. It does have quite a few pieces but we always play it on the table to minimize the risk of losing any. It's a game that definitely easy enough for all our kids and entertaining as well!
We bought this game to play with our children on family vacation. My husband and I both played this game when we were kids but hadn't played it in 15 years. I was so happy to see it was still around! It was just like we remember! The kids loved it. It's family friendly, for sure! Even my 1 year old got to play. A good game to spend some quality time with your family ❤️. We all love it. The only thing is, the box did rip very fast, so we store it in a bag now.
Great game for my grandkids but the box was damaged and opened. Looked like the box was damaged before shipping as everything else I bought in the box was light.
The game play itself is simple and fun. We can play with the whole family, including the 3 year old, and everyone can participate. However, the product is cheaply made and the box isn't made to last so all the little sticks and marbles dont stay in the box without an outside source (little plastic baggie, small plastic box, etc). Also, getting the sticks all in is NOT easy due to the poor quality of the sticks. They just bend and are hard to get through both sides.
My son and I loved this game, he got it for Christmas and was thrilled to play it. I admit the quality of the game could be improved. The price needs to be dropped for this game, overpriced in my opinion. When you try to turn the chamber during your turn, the marbles fall unfortunately even without you pulling a stick. The closer you get to the end it becomes sensitive & imperative not to move it at all so it needs to be designed better. The sticks bent and some broke although we were only putting them in the holes to set up the game. My son had a blast regardless of the cheap quality of construction. However, it was still an amazing game and I will recommend it to our friends and family. It is a great game to help kids think & be strategic, it also brings families together to the table for fun!
I bought this for my 14 year old, autistic grandson for Christmas. I knew it would be easy enough for him to unlock and play. I played it with him the first time. I was surprised at how flimsy the sticks were, it's not how it was to be. Also, the item used to put the sticks into was extremely difficult to turn for the next player's turn. Even after putting a lubricant on the bottom where you turn, it still wasn't easy. This wasn't a hit with me or my grandson.
reason I'm giving this one star is because the box is severely damaged and it was a Christmas present, when my child open it, they were really upset that it was damaged.
The game I received was damaged, the game box I received had a large hole in the back. It looked like it had been used, there was tape marks from someone taking it off the box which removed part of the box print. Flimsy box to begin with. Very disappointed.
