Well I have been driving for a many yrs. I purchaced these tires in 06. That was 70,000 miles ago. I never took the tires back and had bal. checked but did rotate myself. I still have some tread left but going to replace because I'm going to lend my car out. 70,000 miles what a tire
I first purchased 2 for the front of my Subaru mail car over a year ago. They have served me well so I started replacing the rear ones this year with the Viva 2. They're quiet, ride/drive good & appear to be giving great mileage. I'll definitely ask for them again next time.
I had these on my 2002 Windstar and got 60,000 miles before I replaced them. Now I have them on my 2011 Escape and they are wisper quiet and have a softer ride than the factory installed Michilin tires I replaced. So far in heavey rain I have not had a problem with control. I had no problem with snow and these tires on my Windstar and expect no problems on my Escape. I think these tires are under-rated as far as tread wear and durability. Highly recommend for any vehicle you put them on.
I use them on my toyota truck and when I bought another toyota truck, I want the same level of performance and value. This tire does well and seems to be the right price for my needs. I dont go off roading , but it leaves a solid in control feel in the rain. I like it for the price and would recommend it to anyone/
Good price, out the door $448 August 26 2014. Put 40,000 miles on them as of today. Last inspection 9 days ago tires showed that I still have around 20K miles to go based on thread left. No complaints, they rotate well, wear evenly and feel smooth - they are a good ride. I like it that I can go to any walmart for oil change and then free rotation, free balancing and free flat repairs any time. I am a Walmart skeptic and usually buy more expensive tires for higher quality. But this time, let's hope that luck has nothing to do with it. The $448 price just beat the $580 price elsewhere for same size but different brand. I shopped for 50K miles tires which were more expensive than these and I got an extra 10K. Even if they went out at 50K, I would still be happy with them.
I've had these tires on my car for 5 years. I have just passed 61,000 miles and I'd say the tires still have between 3/32"-4/32" and are very evenly worn. These tires do not have any weather rot. These tires worked very well on my 96 Grand Am. Really good in the winter and great in the rain. I'm starting to get a little hydroplaning, but that's expect after 60k miles. I recently picked up another set that I can't wait to put on. For the money, they last a long time, are very quite and have great traction for a passenger/luxury car. I hope they work as good on our 2007 Cobalt because we plan to put them on this week.
Bought the VIVA2 P205/70R15 for the front of my S-10, and the wider P215/65R15 for the back. This gave my 8 year old pick-up one great look! This is my second time of buying tires since S-10 was new. I feel sure these will also give me 50,000 PLUS miles, as my last set (Walmart's USA BUILT Uniroyal's) did.
My 10 year old sears guardsman tires still had 50% tread but they made lots of road noise. ( hard due to age? ). So for my Honda civic I had to go one size over as the correct size was not offered. Honda speedometers are actually more accurate with over sized tires, so it is a win win. The tires are quiet. That was what I wanted. I waited until we had snow to do the review and these goodyear viva 2 tires are good enough. My Kumho Solix Expert are a little better in the snow and ice but not alarmingly better. I know this because I replaced 2 of the old sears tires last year. I did not go with the Kumho tires for the 2nd pair because they are one size UNDER stock. I would prefer to go one over. So, I recommend these Viva's as they were the least expensive tires for my car with a name I trusted. I have run more Goodyears than any other tire. I have 5,000 on them. maybe I will add to this review when I have 30,000 miles.
I bought these tires a year and one month ago today. Only put 24,000 miles on them and they are bald already. Bought a road hazard warranty. Glad I kept the receipt in a safe place because the shop only had proof of tires purchase only. They would pro-rate the tires but found out it wouldn't be worth the money. I had them rotated regularly because it's free with the tire purchase. Kept the tires alignment up to date. I did not get anywhere near 60,000 miles. I learned my lesson buying cheap tires.
Tires have 6000 miles on them and are wearing at a decent rate. However, they constantly lose air and have the most road noise of any tires I have ever owned. I bought these same tires a few years ago with no problems. I wonder if Goodyear has changed the manufacturing process to use cheaper steel or cheaper rubber. I will go back to Wal Mart but I figure they will do nothing about the noise.
