Have had it for a month. So far everything is fine.
The price was great. The unit works fine and I don't need to worry about replacing batteries. The unit will send an alarm when it is time to replace in about 7 years.
Brought this home in summer and after having a fire in our fire place on October, an hour or so after the fire was out it went off. Very glad it worked the way it was supposed to. I have tried the plug in w/ battery back up about 6 times but as soon as there is something wrong with the battery connection or the battery is low the beeping starts and won't turn off. I change the battery with the correct or approved type of battery (not any battery will do), only to hear the same beeps. Very annoying. I much rather do the plug in with no battery back up since it seems you are using the battery anyway instead of the electrical. Having both seem to mess with the entire unit.
Great product, easy installation. Just plug in any socket and its ready to go.
I bought this product about 2 months ago because an older one had an expired date. The price was right and it works.
I like that this plugs right into the wall and I don't have to buy batteries for it.
Good value as long as it does it's job. Don't really want to find out. This is second unit for BR. Fire dept. said it was needed, not just in basement.
This basic CO detector does the job. The light which indicates that it is ON is difficult to see, especially when the unit is plugged into an outlet which is at knee level.
So far so good. .. We haven't had a carbon monoxide issue, so i can't honestly report whether it works or not.
