[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Right Angle Attachment is useful for many applications but in some applications it has provided the only means to complete a task. I have used it to drill and grind in tight places where no other tool would work. It seems to be well made, I have used it at low to moderately high speeds and it shows no signs of wear. It is a must have attachment for DIY'ers.
Works great gets in the heart to reach places easily [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This tool is very helpful for getting into hard to reach places. 98% of the time I use this with a cutting wheel, cutting off screws, nails, etc. Have used it 20-30 times, so can't speak to longevity mentioned in the other review, but have had it for a few years and it really fits a need no other tool or attachment fits.
I bought this to get into a tight spot under my dash for my project truck. Had some rust hidden up under the dash and had to cut it out to replace it with new metal. For the most part this tool helped a lot to cut in a tight area but it is still a little bulky in it's design and was hitting the bottom of the firewall/cowling area with the top of the tool before the cutting disc could make proper contact. I had to replace a barely used disc with a new one every couple minutes 'til the job was done so that i could keep cutting deep enough to get through the sheet metal. Even with that it helped a ton to get the cutting done only leaving the tighter corners and above the steering column to cut by hand. I have to admit to being surprised and somewhat concerned by some of the reviews relating to reliability. I assumed when I bought it that it was two shafts held by bearings and either a universal joint or bevel gears driving the two, but apparently that is not the case.
Nothing takes this tools place. I wonder if running it at lower speeds on variable speed rotary tools gives it a longer life.
I bought this at True Value for my dremel, used it with cutting disks in hard to reach places to cut/shape steel. The shaft in the bottom of this is made of pressed thin wires to form a square shaft. Well this is weak, and this just twisted apart and broke after only using it a few times. I was disappointed because it was pretty expensive and did not last very long. I do not recommend using it for anything stressful like cutting disks, sanding, or grinding. It seems to be built for light applications only.
I bought this about 2 weeks ago to help with hard to reach spaces on a bathroom remodel. It is a great idea and was very helpful, but the shaft broke after only 2 weeks (about 6 hours of actual use). It was disappointing. I really like the concept and I love my Dremel!
I enjoyed this tool but it did not last long before the multi-wired drive shaft failed. It failed soon and after relatively light use. I used it for cutting thin aluminum sheeting (20-40 thou). So far I have been unable to locate a replacement shaft which is frustrating. I opened the unit and the bearings and gears are in healthy shape. It is pricey for such short lifespan.
I have now owned 3 of these and they all failed the same way, drive stem releases from gear, no repair or replacement part ..
the shaft broken after few utilisation, nobody have a spare part
