This heater was purchased to go in our computer room/extra bedroom. It matches both contractor beige and the warm earth tones beautifully with a modern, but old world pottery appearance. The metal base is decorative, well made, and sturdy as well. We were delighted to find the base perfectly matched a chandalier we have with the oil-rubbed look. It heats quickly, maintains a steady temp with numeric and hi/lo settings...the oscillating feature is an extra bonus. I bought it on sale and wish I had purchased the remaining two. They were sold out when I returned to get them. Although it is for a medium sized room it handles the size of an upstairs room (width and length spanning above a two car garage) with no problem.
Wonderful heater, works efficiently, quiet when running, heats area more than adequately, automatic temperature setting is very useful, cool to the touch for children, small/compact but excellent heater...would highly recommend and would purchase second unit if I needed to heat another area in my home at the same time. Prompt delivery to my home by walmart... Great product which I have been using daily since purchasing.
I purchased this heater hoping to help keep my gas bill down. But was not expecting too much, considering I have a 2500 sq ft two story home. But I have been amazed at how well this heats up the upper level of my house, which is approximately 1200 sq ft. I do not have to turn the gas heat on, on the upper level of my home when I have this heater on. All of the rooms are at 70 degrees even when the wind is blowing! I have saved over $150 on my gas bill so far and my electric bill has only increased $10. It has paid for itself many times over. I am not easily impressed with products, but this one has impressed me.
This really is a great little heater. It does a good job taking the chill off of our living/dining area downstairs where it's always cooler than the upstairs. It has helped keep the gas heat from kicking on as frequently. Not sure just yet what the impact is on the electric bill but, since we only use it when we are actually downstairs, like at meal times, I don't anticipate much of an increase. We also used it upstairs in our bonus room over the unheated garage and, it warmed that room up to really toasty in no time. Definitely worth the money for some added heat when you are not using it as a main source of heating a room. It is pretty small but, the oscillating feature and the timer are great and it is not as ugly to look at as most "space" heaters. We are considering getting another one after we assess the impact on the electric bill.
I highly recommend this. I have it in my living room in my mobile home and it heats up the area and kitchen, it does a great job considering how small it is. And it looks very stylish. Great product and great price.
I bought this for my daughter's room, because there isn't a heat duct in there. This heater heats her entire room, and then some! One of the best things about it is how very quiet it runs compared to other models...you don't really notice the fan on it. It has settings that allow you to have it on constantly, or to set a temperature and it will stop heating when that temp is reached and start heating again when it needs to! The fire risk with this is also very low to none at all...it sits up off the floor! If I ever need another heater, I will be buying this model!
I LOVE THIS HEATER. WE NEEDED SOMETHING TO HELP KEEP THE BASEMENT WARM OUR FAMILY ROOM GET'S SO COLD .ABOUT 30 MIN BEFORE WE ALL GO DOWN .I TURN IT ON AND IT WARMS THE HOLE ROOM UP VERY NICE .WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH THIS .WE WENT OUT AND GOT TWO MORE ,JUST TO KEEP ON HAND .GOOD THINGS ARE HARD TO FIND AND YOU CAN'T BEAT THE COST .
My apartment has tile floors that get cold in winter time so i chose to get this heater to warm the place up and it does just that! In fact it heats up the whole entire apartment with just one heater in the living room. well worth the money if you have cold winters like we do here in NY.
I'm always on the lookout for a bargain. This heater is it! We live in the mountains and it gets very cold up here. I bought this last Sept (08) and use it on a daily basis. A year later and its still going strong. has great output, so much so, that i find myself turning it to the lower setting. I HIGHLY recommend this!
I bought this product based upon the reviews of other users and the fact that it is an oscillating heater. Either I bought a total dud or 573 customers can be wrong (apparently there are some happy Amazon.com customers as well). The fan output is very weak and there is no difference between low and high settings. Pros: It is cute, oscillates about 90 degrees and would probably heat up a 4x6 foot room with the door closed.
