Decent size for an affordable price. Turned out to be deeper than I expected but perfect for my needs.
I haven't had the safe for very long but it met my expectations. It feels solidly built and would appear to be able to keep my valuables safe. I wanted the dial because I didn't want to have to worry about batteries on an electric keypad for the combo. I like that I can quickly use the key rather than the dial code which is complicated and long. Its a good size if you don't have a lot of large objects to put in it. It handles all my valueables and important paperwork. I'm so far satisified with this product and the price was great. There isn't a way to secure the safe to the floor to make it safe from being carried off but I'm not so worried about this.
Does not take up a lot of space, but is large enough for our needs. The preset combination seems like an inconvenience, but probably makes it more secure, since we would use a set of numbers that we could remember, like dates, etc. It is easy to open and looks good. I wish it had an interior lock tray, and/or more shelves.
If you're looking for a waterproof firesafe then I believe this will meet your expectations. I would have loved to see a few more "security" measures built into it. I would have loved to have the following options available: 1. Purchaser able to change the combo. 2. Double key by-pass. 3, Mountable to wall or floor. The safe does not advertise itself as nothing more than a waterproof firesafe, so I should have read a little farther before making my purchase. Great construction and it functions as advertised. Overall, it's a great buy...
I just got this a couple of weeks ago and so far, so good. If you aren't familiar with how combination locks work it can be a bit difficult. I was able to open it with combination several times but the keys are a great addition for quick access.
Bought this for my daughter for her important things to be safe. She loves it. Can use the combination or a key to open it. Key makes for fast opening when needed. She is very pleased and would buy it again. Quite heavy. An extra benefit for her as she has placed it over the floor access to the sub flooring and a kind of extra security.
My item arrived without any damage or dents - the packaging was sufficient to keep it intact. This safe is HEAVY! While that is a great thing to deter a thief, it makes it very difficult to move especially alone. I do wish that we could set our own combination code, but its not a deal breaker. Overall a very good product. Happy that it is fireproof and waterproof to truly protect my valuables.
I like the safe but found out that it needs to be reopened every 2 weeks to vent. If I had known about this beforehand I would not have made purchase. I want a maintenance free safe instead.
I purchased the safe for my wifes jewelry, for various documents that I would normally have in a safe deposit box, as well as emergency cash. Since it is larger than what one would use as a wall safe, I hired a person to build me a wall cabinet for the closet. Now it blends in with the rest of the furniture.
This is a great little safe. I use it to secure a gun, jewlery, and important documents. The safe only weighs about 80 lbs, so it can be lifted and carried out of your home. However, its not likely a robber would do that because its too cumbersome. The only drawback to this product is that the combination is factory set and you can't change it.
