Even in the summer, with air conditioner running, I get cold coming out of the shower so I bought this heater. Although it's not as "friendly" as I expected, once you read the instructions that came with it, it works perfectly. It heats up the bathroom pretty quick, & in less than 10 minutes I am getting into the shower & after I'm done it's plenty toasty in the bathroom. So, as I figured out, it will work on cold days as I would expect, & on warm days when I have the a/c on. My wife & I always used a heater in Virginia, especially in the winter, so I bought this one here in ND as I am absolutely sure it will be needed in the winter & great for any day where it will be cool in the bathroom.
Bought his for my brothers area . Tried it out and it performs very well. Like how it rotates to warm the whole area. The timer works well and I liked the remote. The sensor on bottom for safety is a good feature. Also look forward to using the fan feature this summer so its a two in one.
Thank you for your prompt service, & it was much more than I expected...Works great love it would recommend this to anybody. Just what I was looking for
Works great, shuts off if it gets bumped or falls. Auto mode is great but have to reset it everytime you turn if off and back on.
Pros: --Lightweight --Somewhat quiet operation --Decent heat ouput --No weird smell from heating element (common in certain non-ceramic heaters) Cons: --Flimsy plastic body --Loses user settings after turning the power off, was unhappy about the accuracy of the temperature sensor in auto mode --A turn on timer would have been good. I feel cold during early morning hours. It mysteriously stops the heating clycle when it is the coldest! --No visible effect of using the integrated Ionizer
I acquired this unit on October 16, 2009. It is used to heat a 13' X 13' X 8' SouthWest facing bedroom which has very little to no insulation. The oscillator function emits a grinding or guttering type noise, as the unit rotates, and therefore is quite noisy. Another disappointing thing is that this unit only "rotates" approximately 45 degrees from (facing front) center to right and back again. However, this heater does heat quite well.
I guess I expected this heater to give some relief to the chill in the room and it did not do what I was hoping for. The only place it really worked was in a small bathroom.
This item, although looks stylish, was a manufacturing piece of junk. After receiving this it was assembled and plugged in. Within the first 5 minutes or less it quit working. It was repackaged for return. I did however, wish I had done this from the start, do some more research online of reviews. Other sites were no where near the great reviews that were on the Walmart site. The only part of this transaction was the return back to Walmart which went quite well.
Hottest, out of 7 or 8 brands I've tried. Out of 5 I bought in the past year, two lasted a week, one 11 months ($19 to send it in for warrantee replacement), and two are still working fine after 7 months. I'll buy another brand from Walmart, so if it doesn't make it 90 days I can take it in for a refund. They are hot, and do the job, and run smooth and quite, but are flimsy and seem to be not made to last. I'll look for another brand at Walmart( with their great 90 day return policy) that has tip over protection, fan, digital thermostat, and oscillation and remote (my wife likes remote), and hopefully hot, and probably have spend over $75 to hope to get a decent one (not a Vornado, as the one I bought, and got another, both we're not very hot at all, only 125degrees at grill as opposed to Sunpentown's 200 degrees at grill. Hope my experience helps.
I removed the heater from the packaging, read the directions, plugged it in and turned it on. It ran for about an hour then began to give off a burning smell, within the next few minutes it completely stopped working. I returned this heater the same day I received it and will not buy this brand again.
