Nice, attractive shed, put together by a man and his son. Everything went together smoothly, even though this was a first time event for both. A treated wood platform was used for the base.
So far, this storage shed has proven to be perfect for our needs. We built a concrete foundation on our small but sturdy patio. We laid the storage shed on top of it. I secured it to the floor with 6 concrete anchors. I then bought 2 steel shelving units at Sears and I accommodated both inside of the shed. These shelving units hold my heaviest tools without laying on the fragile but sturdy plastic storage shed walls. The shed does not leak water at all. I use a lock to keep it safe. I assembled the shed by myself. Assembling the roof can get to your nerve but I managed to do it alone. Its best if you have someone to help you. The shed tolerates the North Carolina winter without any problems. Its just perfect. My wife and I are very happy. I think you should really consider buying a couple of steel shelving units to get the most out of the shed. Measure carefully and make sure your foundation is strong. Walmart delivered the shed to my closest Walmart store for free and the shed fitted perfectly inside my minivan. Thank You Suncast and Walmart, Alfredo
Easy to setup. All parts marked with Letters for reference to instructions. The non-rusting plastic is a bonus. Some parts have plastic 'snaps' on the end that do not line up perfectly. Took some persuasion. Wish dimensions were about 10% larger to fit the big plastic storage tubs sideways instead of lengthwise. All in all an excellent product. Price seems a bit high for the size. I would expect to pay around $299, not $450.
Instructions and assembly were a breeze -- about two hours. The shed fit well on my side yard, especially the larger doors making it easier to place and remove larger garden items. It seems sturdy and well crafted for a plastic type shed. A bit concerned about how it will hold up to the cold winter, otherwise a great product.
The shed is sturdy, it made it through the heavy rains and winds of Isaac! Hopefully it will last, i have another small suncast dry box which has lasted a couple years, but i do keep it covered. Make sure you build it on a flat surface so the connections click in properly. We first tried on a pallet that i had built on wheels for it, but it was somewhat warped from the rain and made it difficult at first.
It works perfectly for what we wanted...a storage area by the side of the house for garden equipment. Went together in about 2 hours with a minimum of hassle. Does take 2 people, though. Definitely recommend.
The shed went together very easily. I did most of it myself and had my wife help a couple times on the headers only. Took me about 4 hours to assemble at a very relaxed pace. These sheds are on the pricey side relative to tin sheds but Walmart did have to best price as far as my internet shopping went.
Nice product, took about two hours to set up. Required 9 bags of sacrete for base. Went together easily good instructions and neat way it clipped together. Definitely needs a concrete base though, cause the floor has to be exactly level or the clips do not clip
Nice looking and roomy garden and pool supply shed. Took my husband and I 5 hours to put together. Will never do that again. Hoping we enjoy it enough to laugh off all the time and sweat used to put the thing together.
I was a bit nervous with some of the reviews in terms of the time required, but it was very efficiently designed and my 10-year-old son and I assembled it in a couple of hours (add an hour for building a wood foundation). I am able to store four adult bikes, a child's bike, two sets of golf clubs, and a portable canopy easily. One piece had a tiny warp to it but no big deal. Everything went together easily and very happy overall.
