Great Features!

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a pretty amazing phone. The fingerprint lock is fantastic. No more people messing with my phone, unless I let them. The ability to use the S Pen when I want or my finger, is great. In fact, just pulling out the little S Pen brings up a feature automatically, where you can take a note, draw or more. The battery lasts several days. I use my phone like I do my computer, so the extra safety features are especially nice.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4; Taking Your Ideas out to the Stars it Deserves

FIVE! The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 deserves five stars. I'm currently a student, a writer and an artist, and I use every feature it has. I'm more than happy with the phone. It's powerful, it moves quickly, and it's easy to handle. I download apps that make my life easier; for example, to be able to use e-books, so I don't have to lug around heavy textbooks to class is fantastic! With the pen tool on the phone, I'm able annotate and write notes, keep up with my schedule, emails, social media, honestly, the list goes on! I also write a blog about great deals, restaurants, and events in the greater Philadelphia area. With the phone, I’m able to take fantastic pictures and awesome footage without having to worry about bringing my camera around with me everywhere I go. I simply insert my micro SD memory card, and go on my way. This phone is the best phone I’ve ever had. Though, the Samsung Galaxy S III was great, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is superior, and I love it!

The Grass is Greener with a Note

Up until I purchased my Note, I had solely used IPhones. After several problems occurring with several phones I decided I was ready for Samsung I purchased the Note so that I could use it for work as well as personal calls. It is amazing. I am in love and never purchasing another brand again. Here are just a few reasons I love it: One, while I am on a work call, I never have to look for a pen and paper. I can easily jot down phone numbers or info with my stylist and notepad. Two, the camera takes professional looking photos. I use it solely for my instagram and blog. I rarely need a filter. Three, it charges in thirty minutes. I have a small child and I use this phone for work so I need it to charge fast and it does. Four, super easy to use. I was told I would have a learning curve but the interface is accessible and I found the transition easy. Five, I love the larger screen. It makes internet browsing, maps, and everyday use so much easier. Great phone! Amazing Camara!

The screen on this beast is something to behold, you should check one out the next time you are in an electronics shop (if they have it in stock). The audio is clear and loud even with a dual layer Otter BOX case protecting it. The pen? I knew I was going to like the pen after having upgraded to a Surface Pro tablet/laptop replacement earlier this year. Not sure I could live without the pen now, it's just that easy to get used to using and having. Size? It's freaking big, big enough that I'm going to get a holster of some sort for it because it will not fit in all my pockets and let the buttons work. That previous phone went 18 feet to concrete off my uncle's roof in Spokane without breaking (in a Ballistic case) because I forgot to button up, this phone won't allow me to button up and I don't want to test this Otter BOX that way just yet if I can help it. And the camera is pretty dang awesome even at night (sample pictures submitted with review) For the record, my last 3 phones in order have been a Samsung ACE Windows phone (Windows Mobile 6.1) that tethered 3G, a Samsung Galaxy Epic 4G (WiMAX) that tethered and was rooted, and a Samsung Galaxy S III that was rooted to remove bloatware and allow occasional tethering without a plan. I've not rooted the Note 4 yet, though I suspect I will as there are some distinct advantages to doing so. It's really a question of deciding if I can live with Sprint's bloatware or not, I'm spoiled by not having to deal with it on the last couple of phones that I rooted.

I recently upgraded to the Samsung Note 4. I love the phone. The camera takes great pictures! I wish the battery would last longer. It seems to drain a lot faster than my Note 3 did. The battery is really the only complaint I would have. I absolutely love my phone!!

I managed a Christmas set with Santa at a mall this past Christmas. On Christmas Eve, the entire mall lost power. We could not photograph the children's visit with Santa and it was only 3PM. This was not an option. This was the last opportunity to share their wish list with Santa and the mall was advising us to close since the power would not be restored unitil 5:30 and the mall would close at 6. I had been using my Samsung Note 4 for about a month and had been getting great results from the camera so I offered to email or text the images if anybody wanted an opportunity to be photographed with Santa. Approximately 10 families accepted this option and they were very pleased with the results. Well, the power was restored sooner than the mall had anticipated and one of the guests returned and asked if we could print the image I had taken with the Note 4. The print was comprable with the ones that I had taken using lights. I was impressed before, but now I am forever a fan of the Samsung Note 4.

Problem with s-pen stylus digitization
(4)
Reviewed in the USA on 2014-11-09T16:00:00

I am on my third Galaxy Note 4 from Sprint. I exchanged one last Saturday 11/8/14 because the first Note 4 had a problem with digitizing marks from the stylus with a quarter size hole on the right middle of the application whether it was s-note or one-note or autodesk sketchbook. When I brought home the second Note 4 received on 11/8/14, it had the same problem. I could draw lines up and down on s-note and a quarter sized hole would appear among the line drawings where no line could be drawn just like in the first phone. I went back to cell carrier who I bought if from again on11/10/14 and showed the tech who argreed that there was a problem and exchanged the second phone for a third phone. It worked fine in the store. When I got to my office and reinstalled one note and autodesk sketchbook , the problem reappeared!!! Even in S-note. I am about to pull out my hair in frustration. The tech was as baffled as I was. It appears to be hard ware related issue since the same hole appeared in 3 different apps. What puzzles me is why in this third phone, it worked fine in the store this morning and when I got to my office and reinstalled the apps, the problem reappeared. Could it be that One Note or Autodesk is interacting with the phone to create this hole? I am not sure. I am on way back to Sprint store and see if they can fix the phone or swap it for a fourth phone

Note 4 - Feature Packed but Touchwiz hindered.

Reviewed in the USA on 2015-06-03T17:00:00

The note 4 is one of the most beautifully functional products I have ever touched. I have owned Iphones and androids over the past 5 years and can say that the Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most thoughtfully designed phones to date with a wonderful, tough screen. The multi-window feature and s-pen take this device to another level completely-- as well as the different camera modes and image processor currently loaded. As an architect I use this device nearly as much as my computer and don't intend to switch back, the s-pen brings amazing productivity and major gains in workflow, and I can now leave my DSLR at home (See the image samples below). With these things being said, I am irritated by a few features. I am disappointed in the laggyness and sporadic behavior of samsungs touchwiz software. I have applied all of the suggested fixes (turning off window animation and switching off whether touchwiz waits the two seconds for another tap before launching the homescreen.) I have had only slight success in fixing the 2 second lag when pressing the home button. I have also switched between touchwiz, cyanogen Mod, and lollipop on another note device (root is not available under ATT right now for the Note 4 so I used the Note 3). Touchwiz has been slower for me, but not by too much. This is not a deal breaker as the lag is not apparent when typing. or doing other repetitive tasks. I also do not like the bloatware ATT has pushed into my face that came preloaded on my device, only with the ability to disable instead of remove. I find this outrageous and samsung must take back control. This is a reflection of your company, as you a represented directly by the costumers experiences with YOUR products/devices. Do not accept this and allow a company to become pushy because of a guaranteed sales contract. If your device is good it will sell (OnePlus). I will root the note 4 ASAP because of this, but can assure you it has hindered performance, usability, and my overall enjoyment. Who manufactured this device? I'm having trouble telling with the giant white At&t logo on the back of my Galaxy Note 4. Other than this, the device is the best smartphone I have ever used, but could go for around 4gbs of ram ;P. I have used the following devices, all rooted/jailbroken. -Iphone 2 -iphone 4 -iphone 6 (not jailbroken yet) -Droid -Nexus 4 -Nexus 5 -Note 3 -Note 4 (Not rootable yet...) Cheers-- and make sure to GRAB A NOTE 4 if you love progressive, sleek technology.

Form must follow function

To start off, I LOVE the new features and design of this device. The snote updates, the stylus, the 1080p screen, the HD camera, etc. It's quite a step up from my previous phone, the Note 2, in terms of features. HOWEVER, THE RECEPTION IS HORRIBLY AWFUL!!! Every phone I've had in the past 8 years had full reception, generally, everywhere I went. Now, I can barely watch a youtube video in 360p resolution if I use data while outside or in my room because I have 1 bar of service!! If there's an ad, that basically says, "Your time is up, go do something else". It is NOT the fault of Verizon's signal strength in my area. The other devices on my line, 2 basic phones and an S3 have FULL RECEPTION. Replacing the SIM, resetting the device, checking for updates did not work and I'm not alone. If it weren't for the poor reception quality, this would be 5 stars across the board, but form must follow function. I have quite a bit of buyer's remorse and until this is fixed, I won't be recommending this device.

I ordered the phone as NEW. It came in USED cuz of the obvious scratches on the outer sides. And the box was not in its original at all. On top of that the S pen tip was BROKEN OFF. I've emailed and tried calling this place yet no response for a week now. Horrible sevice.
