Beautiful music and epic atmos theater sound. Very pleased with video performance as well. Note that an amplifier is needed for either the front two channels or Atmos height two channels to maximize a Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 configuration. Best AVR I have ever owned.
congratulations to Marantz group for this incedible peace of machine that impressed me more than any other av amps that for the past twenty years have come to my hands and in my current system(martin logan summitX - ayon tube integrated).Audyssay just makes wanders both in cinema but also for my 2ch music listening as the marantz is running as a preamp for the tubes and the resault ..just cannot be any better.It actually corrected the hi frequency roll-off that i experienced for years ,also fixed my bottom frequencies like a magic!!!... .So i just enjoy moovies AND music like never before, and for that THANK YOU.I am a very happy customer and definitely the 7015 is staying and from now on is an essential gear on my system.congratulations again for this amazing av.
I retired my SR7005 which I've used daily for 12 or so years. Though it still sounded great, I felt it was lacking in some modern features. I purchased a refurbished SR7015. Love it so far (day 2). The sound is even better than the SR7005. This is my third Marantz AV. They keep getting better and better. Only question is, seeing as this unit does not have a tuner, why does Marantz bother shipping both and AM and FM antenna with these? Seems a waste. Cost is a little steep, but I got a great deal on this unit.
All great, only disappointment I wish it allowed you to control color better. I prefer minimum color. I'm just not into everyone having red faces. Also I would prefer base and treble controls on the receiver.
I stepped up from an older unit, SR6008, and let me admit, I haven't even thought about it since. Every angle I've looked at has favored the 7015 two fold. Robust, full sound. My def tech mythos system sounds better than ever before. Even the pass through 4k is amazing. I was hesitant of buying a reconditioned model and packaging was less than sub par but the unit seems to be functioning flawlessly. Overall I'd repeat the process but request packaging to get a second look through.
Anonymous · a month ago Incredible rich sound Purchased my Marantz SR7015 a few months ago for my mediaroom. I'm running 7.2.4 (second amp for LCR) and I can't begin to explain how incredible the sound is. There isn't an option I'd want that this receiver is not capable of and its the best I've ever owned. I moved to Marantz after hearing my brothers mediaroom and have had no regrets since enjoying the superior sound. Bravo Marantz!
I've received this unit today and it has everything and more that I could ever want. Setup was easy (speaker, sound, and picture) and after a brief update, I was up and running. So far, the picture quality up to 4k has been phenomenal and sound tests have proven the reputation of Marantz (open and airy). I'm very glad I purchased this unit and knowing I can add a power amp to utilize the other two channels just proves that they thought of everything. Also, if you have a videogame system, it can pick up on which system it is (if it's fairly new).
Looking forward to getting it out of the box and installed. I'm upgrading my center channel and possibly subwoofer in a couple months but so stoked to get it all connected In a couple months. I had the opportunity to hear the 7015 in action at Magnolia home theater: SUPERB AND VERY MUSICAL!! We switched between a Denon X4700H might have been which is a good unit but you could hear the difference right away…
We had the EV 2500 back in the 70's. Marantz continues to provide Excellent sound systems. I Love my new SR7015! and will continue buying this brand. It provides a clear sound with minimal distortion.
