I was trying to decide between this booster seat and the Graco booster seat, I was so happy I decided to spend the extra money and buy the Compass Ultra booster seat. The Compass Ultra is so much better in quality and function, it fits better in the car seat and is much more stable, it is hard to put into words but when you see it and how stable and secure your child sits in it you definately understand that it is a better quality product than the cheaper booster seats on the market. I also love that the cover snaps on and is easy to remove for washing, other seats we have owned in the past have been difficult to remove and put back on. This is a quality product and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a safe booster seat for their child.
We ordered 2 of this type of Car seat as "site to store". We have a Civic, and need to fit 3 car seats in the back, so we are looking for very thin boosters. We were sold on this when we read it was 15.5"width. However, when we got it home, it was more like 18-19" wide. It's a very nice car seat if you want one that wide. We are very disappointed that we have to take them back...
This carseat is the best by far, not only in safety features (no gap b/w shoulders/ side impact protection), easy to use, design and comfort. On ur road trip she was able to rest comfortably. An to boot it is too cute and every girl loves that!!. purchased this carseat for my 4 1/2yr old daughter. She previously had the Britax Parkway and did not like that the side impact shields were so close that she complained and caused her not to sit properly. This seat has plenty of space for growing toddler and doesn't take up to much room in vehicle seat. I plan to buy one for my youngest when she reaches booster seat age and height.
I love the booster and how comfortable my daughter is in it. My daughter loves it because it is pink and flowery. It is overall a great seat however I am very dissapointed that I ordered it in 1/2010 and it was manufactured on 9/08. It expires in 2015 which is fine for my daughter but I will not be able to pass it down to my youngest. I feel like we spend enough to keep our children safe and comfortable the companies should keep current on their products and make sure that they are not over 6 months old when they ship them to the customer.
This seat is worth every penny not only in looks but in features, daughter loves it and like other view her head stays upright when she sleeps instead of slumped over, alot of work went into the design and features of this seat, would definately recommend!
Although this booster came to $89 I was very impressed with the quality.it appears very much like a child's car seat and even has the protective "wings" near the head and shoulders. Padding is good. Folding feature is an added bonus. I have no reservations putting my precious 4 year old grand-daughter in it and she is THRILLED to use the adult seat belt.
While there are many review that make parents seem unfit when transferring a child from a car seat to a booster, you may rest assured that your child will be safe in this seat. Padding wise, there really is no comparison to some of the other name brand models (like the Graco) and you cannot beat the price. It really does rate up there with the Brittax booster in terms of safety, but is a fraction of the price. We have this exact same booster, purchased 18 mos ago and it has held up fantastically. So much so that when child #2 was to pick out her booster, she wanted the EXACT SAME as her sister. We love the movable arm rests and the head rest really does support their heads. I love that this seat is easier to clean as well. This particular pattern (Daisy) does NOT show dirt at all. Great upgrades. The only complaint I would have is that the cheapest fabric cover is blue. If you wanted something a little more feminine, you have to pay an extra $20 for it. If you are to offer a basic cover, I would have suggested something more gender neutral. Since kids will be in these seats for a long time with the new car/booster seat rules, I felt it important to pick one out they would like for a very long time, so worth the $20, but still wish they had a more neutral basic cover.
My daughter just turned 3 and needed a new car seat. I decided to get her a high back booster. I searched the internet for several weeks. Checked all the stores and then came across this one. The reviews were great and although the price was a little higher than I wanted to spend, I thought that the additional safety features were worth it. It was all ready to go right out of the box! Loved that! My daughter loves it. It fits her really well on the lowest setting. It is light weight but very sturdy. I especially like that the back is tilted back just a little so she isn't witting straight up. This is an overall excellent product. I am very happy with it.
I got this for my daughter for her 4th B-day, as she is graduating from a 5pt harness car seat. This booster is amazing. Simply wonderful. The color is perfect for my little girl. She had her brother's hand-me-down car seat, and she is so happy to have a feminine princess big girl seat. It has TWO 'hidden' cup holders that slide out when needed. GREAT! The seatbelt guide is wonderful, as it is threaded through the side of the headrest, it is guided to lay FLAT across her shoulder and chest. This is a great feature. The headrest itself is constructed of soft yet durable foam. She loves to rest her head and sleep in her chair. She doesn't fall forward. I feel SAFE seeing her head is protected on the sides. Wonderful design. The adjustable back is the best feature by far. It is not just a headrest that goes up and down leaving a 'gap' right at the shoulders. The entire back adjusts up, fully supporting your child from head to rear. My 4 year old fits in it at the lowest setting. Just for comparison, I had my (tall) 7 year old sit in it, and I was able to adjust it up height appropriate for HIM as well! So I know I'll get 4 years of use out of this one seat! In fact, I am considering getting one for my 7 year old in a boy color. He is currently just using a back-less booster. And when I see my son and daughter in the car side by side in their two different booster seats, I realize how much more comfortable and PROTECTED my daughter looks. No, the back doesn't detach from the seat/base. And I don't think it matters! Why would you want to remove those safety features that add to the protection of your child? Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase. I am SO GLAD I bought it online (even sight unseen) after looking at SO MANY different models in the store. This one seemed to me to be the most comfortable, the most durable, and the safest by far. I would recommend this product to anyone. As a side note, please don't put your 2yo or 3 yo in a booster. Many parents get overly anxious and want to jump the gun and advance their children before it is safely their time. This is not wise. Consider their safety and be patient.
I bought this booster for my 6y/o for traveling. I love how it folds in half and comes with a storage bag. Its easy to carry onto the plane and put in the overhead compartment. On the down side; it doesn't have latch and can be tippy. NOTE: This seat does not fit smaller kids well at all! Most children are not ready for a booster seat till 5 years old NOT 3!!
