I would consider these the best sounding and feature-rich true wireless earphones available. My previous pair were the Jabra Elite Active 65T which I purchased soon after they were released. They were good. They sounded ok and the fit was hit or miss. I never had much success walking with them, as the seal would become less tight after a few minutes and they would occasionally just fall out. Annoying! I really wanted to like the Jabra's and yes I tried all 3 ear tips and even some aftermarket brands. They would be okay for a few days and then more of the same. I researched the B&O Beoplay E8, the Master & Dynamic MW07 plus, the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and the Jabra Elite 75T's. I almost went with the Master & Dynamics because of their ear fins which added stability and a more secure fit. I'm very happy with my WF1000XM3's. Fantastic sound and clarity! The fit is perfect for me. No falling out while walking or even using the rowing machine! They can get extremely loud, if that's your thing. No connectivity issues, customizable controls for EACH earbud. Oh and dual Bluetooth 5.0 earphone connectivity! Excellent earphones!
I've had these for a little while now and after some tweaking with the eat audio app that you need. May I say actually have to download in order to get the best experience. Are they perfect no but they are by far the best for Android.
I bought these on sale November 2020 & I am happy with my purchase. I tried one of my friends Airpods Pro & I can't tell the difference, the only difference I can tell is the Noise-Canceling is way better on these so yeah I highly recommend them.
Just got these and they are awesome. Wireless Bluetooth connection. Easy app to download work great with my IPhone 11 Max. noise canceling is awesome easy to charge lasted around six hours probably a little longer but I decided to charge him anyways. They come in a really nice case turn as soon as you take them out. I love them. They fit great in my ears don't fall out when I'm exercising. Wiped them clean with an alcohol pad. I love them. Great investment. Last but not least the Sound is Amazing.. two thumbs up.
Sony almost defined perfection with these earbuds. They check off nearly all the boxes: Small stylish design for the buds and charger/storage case; decent battery life; and exquisite noise cancellation. The sound quality is among the best I have heard used, with excellent and customizable bass. The mids and highs are equally balanced and clear. I am a real audiophile, and I own just about every pair of high-end earbuds and earphones on the market today. These earbuds easily dominate the current market with two exceptions: 1) noise cancellation; and 2) call clarity. First, the noise cancellation is easily the best for wireless earphones, but it differs from Sony's high-end earphones or other competitor's full earphone (cans). However, in a small form factor some of this is expected. Buds are never going to seal like over-the-ear headphones. The noise cancellation filters out about 90% of background noise, but it is still there. The background noise is most prominent when you are not playing music, so you cannot use these to medicate or tune out background noise; it works best with music to override the remaining background noise. However, one of my favorite features, which I have not found on any other earbud/earphone, is Sony's auto adapt noise cancellation feature. The earbuds listen to outside sound and automatically adjust the level of noise cancellation. For example, the earbuds correctly switched from transit mode while I was on the train to walking when I got off the train. This is a spectacular feature for commuters using different transportation. I had maximum noise cancellation on the train, but when I was in traffic I could hear the cars and nearby noises. The adapt feature works correctly about 98% of the time. The second main area where these earbuds need improvement is their calling feature. The earbuds are unfortunately useless when making a telephone call. While I heard callers loud and clear, people consistently could never hear me – even in quiet rooms. I hope Sony will correct this issue with a firmware update. This lack of telephone clarity prevents these earbuds from being the commuter's ultimate earbuds. Sony did a great job with the phone app, which is rare among even the best audio companies. Often the app is a huge downfall. The app has a variety of custom equalizers, plus the ability to set and customize your own. It expertly controls the features of the earbuds, including the level of noise cancellation and auto adapt function.
As a daily user of the WH-1000xM3, it was a no brainer for me to purchase these buds to use in situations where over-ear headphones aren't ideal. After using these for some time I can easily say that they offer great sound quality paired with great noise cancelling for buds and the many features we have come to love from the sony headphone connect app. I found these buds very easy to pair using the NFC that is located on the charging case and they continue to pair with my phone quickly and often before I'm even finished adjusting the buds in my ears. While comfort can be a very personal thing and varies for everyone, I find these to sit well in my ears for long periods and have a good seal which is extremely important for the noise cancelling to be effective. Sound is great, though I would have liked to have seen AptX and Sony's own LDAC connectivity like the WH-1000xM3 and many of Sony's other offerings. Going in the headphone connect app we are able to fine tune the EQ settings or choose from different presets. Moving on to the controls. Similar to their over-ear brothers the WF-1000xM3 uses touch controls which are the reason for these not being perfect. They work MOST of the time, but can be slightly oversensitive and just not work at all. There have been two problems I have personally run into thus far. The first being every once in awhile the right earbud will not work. I know the bud is registering my tap since I get a sound queue but nothing happens on my phone (Note 8). My second problem, similarly, happens on the left bud when cycling through the different microphone sound modes. If you tap once sometimes more than one tap will register or a tap will be registered and nothing will happen. This seems more like a software issue than hardware so hopefully, an update will be pushed out for this if it is a widespread issue. NOTE: These issues above can be resolved by placing the buds in the case and taking them back out again. As far as noise cancelation goes I have been pretty impressed with the performance. I wouldn't go as far to say they do a better job than the WH-1000 or even as good of a job but that was not expected. I would say they are a slight step down, which in my opinion is positive and quite impressive for such a small device when compared to a headset known to be one of the best at noise cancellation. Similar the WH-1000 holding your finger on the left bud will pipe in noise from your surroundings and lower the volume of the music. This works well and is a nice feature to have even if you might not use it all that much. Other than that there haven't been any serious issues so far and I thoroughly enjoy using these earbuds. Hopefully in the future Sony can include these few things. AptX/LDAC Bluetooth connectivity, while this is not a dealbreaker it is also nice to have especially when marketed as premium earbuds. A waterproof rating would also be very nice to have so we don't have to worry about getting caught in the rain or sweating while wearing them. Lastly, a wireless charging case. This again is not a dealbreaker for most but would be a welcomed edition. Overall I would recommend these buds and enjoy using them for an assortment of different activities since they are very versatile. While they may not be perfect, it seems that my few issues could be resolved with a software update.
I bought these wireless earbuds because I already have a pair of wireless over-ear phones and wanted the same exceptional sound quality but with the flexibility to be mobile as well as work out, etc. I also own a pair of apple airpods and honestly the sound quality of the Sony earbuds blows Airpods out of the water (literally). However, what good is exceptional sound quality if the design of the earbud is uncomfortable and does not fit. Not to mention there are very few people who like the design of earbuds that require you change out the in-ear silicon pieces to get a good fit (which is never perfect nor comfortable). I wish Sony had designed the earbuds similar to the airpod with a flat earplug design vs the in-ear with silicon tips design. The airpod flat earplug design is almost universally comfortable no matter the size of the ear due to the design. I'm sure Sony can figure out a better way to ensure an exceptionally comfortable fit while providing the same awesome sound quality we come to expect from them. I unfortunately will be returning my WF-1000XM3 earbuds for the SOLE reason that they are VERY uncomfortable and do not stay in well (and that is after having tested each and every different size silicon tip that came in the box). I have very small ears and my Apple airpods fit perfectly and are super snug (even when I'm dancing or working out). My spouse has a very large ear canal and the Airpods still fit perfectly! Although we are SONY fans to the core as the sound quality of Sony products is UN-Matched, we cannot justify buying these earbuds at this price point with such a huge issue with comfort and fit. Sony PLEASE RE-DESIGN THESE to fit like regular airpods (Gen2) while maintaining noise cancelling functionality. There has got to be a way to accomplish this. Also the charging case for these is almost obnoxiously large. As a women who tends to prefer a minimalist existence, I carry a small wristlet with only essentials but this case is just not small or discrete enough to fit in it. My airpods case is perfect (about the size of a dental floss container). I could literally fit the airpods case inside the Sony case.
Sound Works, It Charges, Noise Cancellation works, but the indicator light on the left ear bud stopped working without explanation and it is rather irritating to have the indicator light work on the right ear bud but the left earbud is not glowing. The Imbalance really eats at me.
I bought these just over two months ago and they're already not holding a charge. Charged them yesterday, after they died mid-workout, one and the case are at 100%, the other won't go above 70%.
I bought these two weeks ago online this is my first week with them. The sound Excellent but are lacking in the volume area, but I have also have found that after 3hrs + I'm getting the recharge notification & I'm @ 20 percent battery... not good(smh) my girlfriend also has a pair that we purchased @ the same time & just today the left earbud died...( as in not charging or working ) note she has barely used them @ all since they arrived...
