After MONTHS of looking for the PERFECT crib (18 MONTHS to be exact--we had to wait until we had room for our daughter to have a crib!), I finally found this one. It is my dream crib. Looks so much more expensive than it is. Well made; heavy, but not clunky like so many of the larger cribs nowadays. Looks very feminine. It's a beautiful very slightly "dull/greyed" white--not a bright white. It's the exact color I was hoping for--looks great with whiter pieces, blends well with off-white also. Looks antique. Rail a little difficult to operate, but will loosen up, I think. The screw holes DO SHOW, unlike in the picture, and that was slightly disappointing (the crib would look like the BEST made cribs if they DIDN'T show--a sign of GREAT furniture); I'm going to buy some plugs to cover them--shouldn't be too hard to do. Took hubby about 30 minutes to put together--very easy! Overall, a wonderful crib; happy mom & happy baby!
This bed is so beautiful. We hunted for a bed forever and was willing to pay double the price for one that I only somewhat liked. My husband assembled it in less than an hour. There are only a few screws that show, but we put some little screw covers in the holes that we bought at Lowe's. So many of the beds we looked at looked very cheap, but this one looks great. We are so excited with our purchase!
this product is well built and looks beautiful. it has multi uses from a baby crib to a childs first day bed to a full size bed in later years. highly recommend it has a chest of doors that can be very useful
The color is great! I bought this crib in white & the cream ellis tower changer & I was pleasantly surprised that the color practically matched! When the crib was put together, it was more than I expected. The computer image does not bring justice to its beauty. It makes the room have a classic, shabby chic kinda feel & with it's off-white color, it simply brings a home, cozy feeling. Another plus is that the solid sides of the crib actually have a space in them, 4 total-(which you can't see in the picture) so that you can tie the crib bumper! The only thing that caught me off guard was that the mattress didn't quite fit due to how the hinges are designed to hold the mattress. But I found that despite this, I just pushed the mattress down into all four of its corners (and yes it kinda squishes those parts of the mattress) & it just makes the mattress sturdier. The baby's not here yet, but I'm sure I'll get very good use of it. I'm so happy I chose this crib & I would definitely recommend it.
My husband and I absolutely love this crib! We bought it sight-unseen and were a bit nervous about it, as many cribs we saw in stores had been 'wiggly'. We shopped for months looking to spend below $300 and all the cribs we liked were way too expensive in stores, so finally we decided to just order this crib and I'm so glad that we did. The package came in a week if not less, all the parts were there and labeled and the instructions for the crib were extremely clearly written, making it almost impossible to goof when you put it together. The color says "cream" but it is in my opinion closer to white than off-white. It took my hubby about an hour to put it together. It is fabulous! Looks much more expensive than it actually is! We love the details. And it is extremely sturdy. I tried to shake it and it did not budge. The only thing is the trundle drawer is NOT attached to the crib and the directions were MUCH more vague. It is just a big drawer on casters that you can roll under the crib. He had to play with it for a while (with some cursing) to finally get it to fit together. The instructions for the crib and drawer seem as if they are from completely different companies! The drawer isn't nearly as nicely made as the crib, but it is still a nice bonus to have to store sheets/ blankets under the crib, and it's really out of sight anyway. HIGHLY recommend this product!!!
Perfect as child moves from crib. Still safe-won't fall out. The toddler bed is short enough for him to climb in alone. Great for Big Brother when Baby Sister is on the way-He gets a new "Big Boy" bed for himself, and Baby Sister gets the "Old Bed".
We upgraded my baby who is on going on five months to the larger and more formal crib. She loves it! Its is so pretty. It took us about 2 to 2/1 hours to put it together. You may need a second person around to help hold things as you adjust the crib's nuts and bolts. The color is perfect and the baby slept in it the very first night. We purchased everything from Walmarts. I love designer everything, however, this product is worth every penny! PS The draw comes in handy for winter blankets, especially now (6/08) since its summer I dont need them. The blankets are out of sight and the room is clutter free! Ciao, Fifi
Im expecting my first child in august & found this crib and fell in love with it, i read all the reviews befor buying it.. I ordered it and it took 14 days to get here. I love the color of the crib, and the way it looks! Its beautiful. Only downfall is Me, Myself I am not handy at all when it comes to things so i had a friend of my grandmothers come and put it together, he had the hardest time! But overall its a wonderful crib.
I just got this crib and assembled it by myself. I am 9 months pregnant and it took a little more than an hour to get it all together and put my daughter's bedding in. The directions were easy to follow. All the pieces were in good condition when it arrived. My daughter is currently sleeping soundly in her new crib and seems to be enjoying it. The only drawback I have found is the headboard and footboard do not have a place to tie the bumper so we will probably end up taking that out completely. Other than that, I have no complaints.
My Husband and I are expecting our first child in late September. We looked at various cribs and styles and decided the transitional crib was the money saving way to go. The Camille 4 in 1 bed met all our needs. Its sturdy solid wood frame and beautiful details give it a much more expensive look for a price you can't beat. My husband and I put the entire crib together by ourselves. Setup took a little over an hour and everything you need to put the crib together is included in the box . NO TOOLS needed! My only complaint is the drop down isn't so smooth when lowering it. However, I'm sure a little petroleum jelly will do the job. Overall a great bed that will surely last your child a lifetime.
