We bought this teething guard because my son was chewing on the crib rail and we didn't want him to keep eating crib paint chips. It works great and he loves it. We read other reviews about putting the guard on, after using the alcohol to clean it off, we used our hair dryer to help "melt" the glue that is on the back of the guard. We used the hot to "melt" it and than to cool it off quickly the cool. It worked like a charm, so I recommend doing this to help the guard stay on. Overall a great product and great for the price.
I bought this so It would protect her crib, I love the buy the price was great and it was easy to put on I did it myself and works great.
My 1 year old was literally eating his crib & I purchased this one on a recommendation from a friend. The Gummi Crib Rail was easy to install & while my kiddo still tries to chomp, the rubber is thick enough to wear he's not going to damage his crib rails. Keep in mind though, 1 Gummi Crib Rail is long enough to cover either the two sides of the crib or the front but not both. I ended up purchasing an additional to cover the two sides. I'd definitely purchase again but probably won't wait until my little person decides to start chewing. Well worth the investment!
While teething, my son was constantly chewing on the rails of his crib. This product eliminated that problem. I feel much better about him chewing on this as opposed to his crib. The product was easy to install & I haven't had any trouble keeping it in place. I would highly recommend this for any parent!
I was surprised when shopping for a baby bed for my grandbaby to find that they no longer come with teething rails. I was searching online when I found this item and was pleased to find that it is a soft "gummi" material and that it can fit on any type of rail.
FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Buy TWO boxes if you have a standard size crib, My sons railings are about 51.5in long, So I needed two boxes to cover each side. This is a TWO person job, Doing it on your own will only frustrate you. YES, It will start lifting 1-2 days later. YES, Using a hair dryer will help apply AND remove it. It helps with him still teething, But I'd rather just spend a little more and get the cloth kind and deal with having to wash that. ALSO, In the end mine is taped down just so it'll stay and by luck he ONLY chews on the parts that AREN'T covered in tape.
The gummy material is great for my daughter so she doesnt continue chewing on the wooden rails of her crib. We have had this gummy rail cover for less than a week and the adhesive is already coming undone. We'll have to use a stronger adhesive :-/
Wouldn't stick to the crib but did to the paint, tore off over a foot in crib paint!
After one day of using this, it was coming back off. It wasn't really sticky and we had a hard time getting it to stay on. It worked for maybe a day before it came off. Waste of $
I bought these to try to get my 10 month old to stop chewing on her crib. Well THEY DONT STICK! So don't even waste your time or money ordering!
