They are a bit more expensive than your typical wooden pencil sold at your typical discount store, but for good reason. They are quality pencils that are worth every penny. They are the favorites of most teachers and parents. The eraser works great and doesn't leave smudges behind. The lead sharpens to a point when sharpened, and doesn't break off. The wood shaves well and is smooth once sharpened so it makes gripping easy. I highly recommend these pencils, you will love them whether you are using them to write with or to shade!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Ticonderoga #2.5 medium pencil 12 count. It was very easy to write with. It is made of 100% real wood and has a latex free eraser. The lead is black graphite so it writes smoothly and easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these pencils because I am looking to sketch in my journal but I don't need something professional. They are a standard pencil with a normal golden yellow body and a green rim foil tip that holds the pink eraser. It has a hexagon body which is comfortable for grip. I don't find my hand slipping and the eraser is great. It doesn't leave those streaks when using it the first time like some other pencils do. The pencil tip is good for sketching in my journal and taking quick notes. My son can also use them for his homework which is helpful so we don't have a bunch of different pencils laying around.
Item as described. Purchased for the thicker lead. These are very nice. Highly recommend. Could be helpful with writing in individuals having difficulty with central tremor. Even thicker leads could be even more helpful.

Strong and very easy to handle. They are very easy to sharp and the writing performance is smooth and clean. The eraser performance is great. It erase very clean and precise. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ticonderoga pencils are the very best pencils that I have ever used. I am a full time student in a Doctorate program so I do a lot of writing. The eraser on the pencils never leave the smudge or black marks that you often seen with other pencils. The pencils last longer and sharpen good and I have never had any issue with the lead breaking during sharpening. My son starts kindergarten next year and I have already stocked up on the Ticonderoga pencils. They truly earn the title on the box of “The World's BEST PENCIL”.

Ticonderoga pencils sharpen fast, leaving a smooth lead tip that seemingly writes forever before becoming dull. These pencils are so much better than ordinary pencils because they are the most durable. My children rarely experience broken pencil tips with Ticonderoga, saving us so much time. We will continue to be loyal Ticonderoga users.
