Absolutely love this tv! I have had it for about 2 months now and I continue to be amazed by the picture. It is crystal clear and crisp. The smart features are very quick and easily accessible through the touch of one button. The sound is crisp and clear also. I have not needed my surround sound since I purchased it. I highly highly recommend!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying this TV. I upgraded my living room TV ( a 1080p Tv) to this LG 4k TV and I can truly notice the difference in display and sound. I was watching an anime called ‘Food War' ( great anime btw) in my old TV and switch to Lg TV mid way and i can see such a big difference in the picture quality. The picture are super clear and sharp. The color are really vibrant. This TV came with a lot of cool feature and smart options. I also loves the home dashboard. I am pleasantly surprised by the remote of this TV as well. Usually the remotes are like an after thought and they are really cluttered and just get the job done. This TV has a magic remote which i can use to point at objects on screen( really useful while watching youtube, netflix content). It also has scroll and voice capability. There is also a dedicated netflix and amazon video button in the remote. It came well packaged to prevent damages during shipping and also super easy to unpack as well. I highly recommend this TV .
I've been a fan of LG since I bought my first 3D display the LM7600, but these last few years outside of their OLED offerings had been disappointing. The 49Nano85UNA has been a very pleasant surprise and one of my favorite displays I've owned. I'll get the bad out of the way first. For years LG has pushed IPS based displays and edge lit local dimming schemes. This year they've improved their display by using an ADS-IPS panel that improves not only motion performance, but in this case greatly improves the normally disappointing contrast ratio of IPS displays. The native contrast ratio is about 1600:1, but with the local dimming applied boost close the 1800:1 mark. OLED displays have infinite contrast ratio and VA based panels start around 2000:1 and can be as high as 7000:1 without the use of local dimming. So this display is impressive for the tech and close to the lower end of VA displays. The local dimming on this used is my biggest gripe. From what I can tell the LED's are only along the bottom and possibly top edge of the TV. There are what appears to be 6-8 total zones in that cause a wide light shaft from the bottom to top of the display. I've seen some some say that they simply turn off the feature, but I've noticed in non-HDR content that the local dimming works pretty well. I bought an LED bias light for the rear of my TV that improved the perceived contrast, relieves eye strain and made the local dimming short comings nearly imperceptible. Now the good... The native 120hz goes a long way to improving motion and reducing blur in games. Pair this with 2x HDMI 2.1 inputs that allow for 4k@120fps, next gen consoles and PC GPU's will take advantage of this. Both AMD Freesync and Nvidia G-Sync are supported as well as VRR (variable refresh rate) which eliminates screen tearing. And for gamers looking for the fastest input response time the ALLM (auto low latency mode) has you covered. From the beautiful sun drenched landscapes of Horizon zero to dark gothic architecture of Doom:Eternal you'll be awed by the visual on hand as well as floored by how quickly they blow by you at 120fps. I have recommended this display to a lot of friends wanting to make the jump to a sub-50” display that ticks all the gaming boxes. Great job LG and one day I'll make my way up to OLED, but for the time being I'm completely satisfied.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my new LG NANO85UNA Series, 55" television last week. I wanted to fully experience the tv before writing a review. This tv is an major upgrade from my previous, non-Smart television. I am so very impressed with it! I found it very very easy to set up and completed it very quickly myself. Additionally, I really liked how light the tv is because I was able to unpack and place the tv in my entertainment center. Set up, once turning on was very quick and easy. I was up and running within minutes. I set up my various accounts including Hulu, Netflix etc with ease also. Netflix, which is watch quite often, is accessible with the touch of one button. After watching the television for over a week, I have found that the screen image is absolutely flawless. All shows appear very realistic and life like. When watching, I feel like I am in the middle of the action. The colors are bright, crisp and vibrant. I am so very happy with my new LG NANO85UNA Series, 55" television! I will highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new television.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 49” LG Nano85UNA looks great on my wall, has nice bright colors and looks great from any angle. I love how easy it is to setup and to access the apps on this tv. It comes with a “magic remote” which is extremely user friendly and fun to use. It even has a button on it for Netflix and Amazon on the remote. I have mostly used the TV for streaming shows, but recently used it for gaming and am very impressed. Recently, I watched a movie with my kids and my oldest daughter kept telling me how bright and colorful this TV made her movies look in comparison to our old TV. Everyone in the household agrees that it's a huge upgrade from the previous TV we had. I am extremely pleased with my tv and will always recommend LG based on my positive experience with this tv.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the LG NANO85UNA 55" TV a couple of weeks ago. This set displays bright, sharp and vivid video. Better than any TV I've ever seen. Even though it's a big 55" set it was easy to us-box and set up. The screws that hold the legs on should have been packed with the legs ( they were packed with the remote and I didn't find them until I had already supplied my own. The connection to our Verizon set top box via an HDMI cable was quick and easy and the set up identified the set top box.The TV remote operates the set top box which eliminates the need for two remotes. The sound quality is great too even though I plan on adding on a home theater sound system which will make it a complete home entertainment center for watching our favorite shows and movies. A printed version of the remote operation would be helpful. Even though there are help screens for the operation of the remote it would be easier if there were a printed version since there are so many functions on the remote. The LG NANO 55" set replace an older 42" LCD set and there is no comparison in the video quality. We could never go back to a non-4K set. In conclusion, this LG 55" NANO 4k Smart TV is the best TV we have ever had.
The LG NANO85UNA Series, 55" is an excellent television. The picture quality looks amazing, it sounds great, and it has (or has access to) some good apps. I tested the 4K quality with some movies and video games; they looked amazing and I did not have any issues setting it up with my Xbox one X. The sound really surprised me because I have never had a television with great sound built-in. I usually settle for the included sound instead of going out and buying a sound system or sound bar so the built-in sound works best for me. The apps were nice and easy to use; the remote works well and was fairly easy to learn. There are a few flaws with this television but they were fairly easy for me to work around. The default picture settings were not ideal for me; I did not like that most of the default options had a warmer temperature set so the picture appeared a little dull and off color. I also found it odd how the energy saving option cannot be toggled within the picture settings if you try to select the backlight setting while it is greyed out. This was easy to resolve after playing with the settings. Another small flaw is the apps; my issue is directed more at the app developers, for example, YouTube does not seem to go higher than 1080p quality and HBO/HBO Max is not available. These have been my only real flaws with this television but I can work around these by connecting my Xbox one X or computer with a HDMI cable. Watching movies and TV shows on the LG NANO85UNA Series, 55" is great; when the picture looks amazing and sounds are excellent, it makes for a combo that makes the overall experience more enjoyable and entertaining. Compared to my old television, the LG NANO85UNA Series, 55" is significantly better in all categories. My previous television was smaller, heavier, lower picture quality, lower sound quality, and had no applications. I feel like it was a perfect time to upgrade and I have no regrets. After a few days with the LG NANO85UNA Series, 55", I decided to try playing video games on it and it surprised me with how well it worked with my Xbox one X. The games run smoothly, the picture quality is better than the computer monitor I normally use, and there doesn't seem to be any issues.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG NANO85UNA Series, 65" its a great TV, the quality of the 4K picture and Dolby Atmos sound its awesome, all the features are great, once you connect to the internet you can watch free LG channels, it is easy to set up and use. This TV have everything you need to play video games not lagging at all, watch movies with a great 4k picture and streaming fast without any problems. ( you can always change the mode settings for Video Games or Movies ) But I love the Video Game mode, makes the movies looks awesome. My favorite thing is the magic remote, the remote has a microphone for speech, that makes it easy to look anything you want, makes it fun and easy to use, also have Netflix, amazon & Hulu shortcuts, just one click away to watch your favorite streaming service. It was easy to set up. The design of the TV is great, slim and light weight, makes my living room look very nice. Highly recommend this great tv to anyone looking for a new television.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 65" LG Nano TV has great picture quality and sound. I also like the size for a family room. The aspects that I am finding it difficult to adjust to is the menu options. There are many menu options, but the remote is not user-friendly. The interface cursor could be eliminated. Overall I am satisfied with the picture quality and the sound. The built-in Alexa has been handy for finding more information on content. I have used Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and the Apple streaming services. I like having so many Apps available on the screen. I find that I watch a lot more YouTube videos, as well as nature shows because of the crystal clear picture. We decided to mount it on the wall in the family room since the space is larger. My husband enjoys hooking it up to the Xbox. The screensavers are also impressive.
I was so disappointed from lg. In my mind was the best Brand for smart TV .three times I ordered the same model and the three times was damaged.1st had scratches on the top ,2nd ( from another supplier) had scratches on the edge and the outside screen it was like it was put wrong ,3rd one absolutely beautiful from the outside ,I open it and I I see more light in the bottom right corner and I look closer and I see a damaged pixel .green Dot .I was so disappointed.i kept the first one with the scratches on the top because literally I can't open another box of tv .I know now it's not Walmarts fault but LG s. The image is amazing though. Easy features and very easy to install.
