Our doctor recommended OsCal as being the best calcium supplement to take. My wife had osteoporosis in her sixties. She has been taking a 500 mg caplet a day, half a.m. - half p.m.. After three years it was gone. She's is 76 now and still free of osteoporosis.
My doctor recommended OsCal years ago for my osteoarthritis and since I'm 70 years old I feel good knowing my bones are covered with this.

I suppose they do what they are supposed to do. I haven't had a bone scan since I started taking them. There are generics and I'm considering going away from this brand because of the price. I will ask my doctor before I do. Others have some hidden supplements that might interfere with some of my meds. Price is the only downside on this item. It is coated and easy to swallow and I don't mind taking it.
