Maybe I'm part cow, but I enjoy the fragrance and taste of this stuff, wholesome and pleasant. I enjoy it with just water, but generally I add it to a smoothie with whatever veggies or berries I have on hand. It does a very good job of warding off hunger and the urge to snack. I have grass allergies, but I have had no reaction problems with this. I also seem to get a mild energy boost, good for getting past the late-afternoon slump.
I would like to up the rating on this excellant product. I have been using this barley grass for several years. It is 100% barley grass (no rice powder here). The price is also great when you compare the $$/oz to the other products. As to taste... I add it to my morning "green shake" and it all goes down together. It's grass, it's not supposed to taste good. Use juice and it will go down easier (if you can handle the suger in the OJ...)
I was happy with the price of this item, but the taste and texture are unbearable. I have used other barley powder products and realize that they are not a "tasty" thing...but this one is extremely difficult to get down.
