My husband wanted this to use while reading his Bible. He says it works just great.
Had been searching for this copy holder and finally found it at wal-mart .com. I use it to hold my ipad while reading e-books and playing games. It is perfect size and not too heavy to carry with me. I had this one before and it broke so was happy to find it again. Love it.
As described, all in one piece, nothing broken, arrived before estimated time of arrival.
Easy to set up and easy to use. Love it.
My old copy holder finally broke and I needed a new one. When I ordered this I was skeptical about the way it looked, but now that I have it I am thrilled I bought it. It adjusts to hold long pages (such as legal pads), books, even the newspaper. It is sturdy and I am using in more ways than sitting by my computer.
I ordered this product to hold a keyboarding text book for a class I was taking. It's very sturdy, a lot better than the flimsy cardboard one that came with the book!
Nothing to hold the pages of books, so I use bulldog clips. Holds text books well enough. But don't bump it, it will fall. I imagine this would be perfect for single pages or pamphlets.
There's probably something more sturdy than this for the $10. While it holds paper just fine, it doesn't work so well with books in my experience. Also, the backboard angle adjustment piece (gray ladder-looking thing in the picture) slips quite easily; instead of hooking/clipping onto the back, it just sits on little plastic pegs. Height adjustment works well.
Works great if you need to prop up some papers or maybe a spiral/composition notebook. Ok if I'm revising essays or typing up notes but that's about it. It isn't really wide enough to prop up a textbook, especially if it's a soft cover or slightly thicker. Might work with a thin, hardcover textbook with some work though. Not really great when you're trying to type up things from a book. And, if you're not really careful, the bottom edge will rip the page you're turning. I'd rather shell out a couple more dollars for a sturdier one capable of actually holding up a textbook.
I paid $13 for this including shipping and felt it looked like a good deal. I knew it would be lightweight but thought perhaps I could weight it with a bean bag. It is so lightweight That it falls over at the least movement of it. The way it props up is awful and ineffective - does not stay in the position - no way to snap into place. Just leans there. It is really a terrible product and I would not recommend it to anyone. It was a waste of $13 as it is virtually completely useless.
