I like this product but am surprised the shredded pieces are a little bit longer in size from my previous GBC shreader that was a step above this new one in quality.
this shredder was shorter than our last one. There are no wheels on this machine so it is shorter than most. You have to turn the machine on each time you want to use it. Other than that it's quiet fast and shreds EVERYTHING!
I have had & used many shredders in my life and none have operated as poorly as this one. When I received and took it out of the box, I first saw the single bag that came packed in the basket; I attempted to "carefully" open it to install it in the basket, but it immediately tore as if it was very old and crispy. That seemed to tell me something. The shreds accumulate more to the rear and when nearly full, that makes it very hard to pull the basket out (when full, you have to force it out). The worse part is the feed; you have to push the paper down hard and sometimes work it to get it to engage the sensor and the cutters to start working. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. Also runs slower that most. I shredded 3 baskets full hoping it would "break in" and start working properly, but no use. I'm returning it to Sams where I purchased it. I would rate it with 0 stars if I could.
I was thoroughly disappointed with this shredder. First off, it does not shred 10 sheets as advertised. The cross cuts are basically strips because they are so large. The shredder only works half of the time. I am returning it and would not recommend it to anyone
