This is a surprisingly powerful shredder, that you can drop unopened junk mail, cd's, and lots of paper, and it just works ! I am very impressed by how at how much it can handle at 1 time. So much better than the shredders we used at work before no jamming, this is a keeper!
What a wonderful instrument for shredding. I can_U_t believe all of the hidden gems I found while operating this fine piece of machinery, for instance, it has a self loading option, which can be operated from an App, which is totally user friendly...like how awesome is that! <br /><br />Being that I manage my own real estate and have created a room in my home to use as an office space, I need to shred daily and this product makes my life so much easier. While it_U_s large design is a little off putting, what you receive in exchange is insurmountable. From its sleek design, user friendly settings, App accessibility, maintenance free ability, and the facts that it is 100% automated, you will be truly blown away. I also left out the most important detail, IT IS SO QUIET!!! Unbelievable!!!! <br /><br />This shredder has by far exceeded my expectations, to the point nothing that I have previously own even comes close. So glad I own this gem!!!<br /><br />Pro_U_s: Design, automated everything, self lubricating, noise control, App accessibility, user friendly on setup, usage and App settings, Maintence free, large capacity, automatic feed, anti-jam feature and extended warranty.<br /><br />Con_U_s: Size/weight and a bit pricey-but well worth it.
This shredder can do the job if stacks placed in the shredder are not too creased. It does try to work through any mis-feeds on its own and it's a 50/50 chance it will without you having to open it and re position the paper. I have shredded up to what equals about a full ream of paper without any problem. I like the fact that you can put it in the machine and walk away while it does it's job. Also, being able to feed up to 10-12 pieces of paper manually is handy, especially when shredding smaller that letter size paper. The machine is surprisingly quiet while shredding. One thing that Swingline needs to improve is the magnetic closures for the front door. Once the bag inside gets full, it pushes the door open and the shredder stops working. If the closure was stronger, you could fit more in the recyclable bags.
The shredder is a little loud and somewhat slow. Cannot put more than 10 papers in at one time or it will jam. Hate the bag area, seems flimsy tried the plastic bag it was too big and the paper bag was not easy to use. The app is good for re-ordering bags but didn't see any other benefits to the app.
