I am an asthmatic and this chest rub helps when I am feeling wheezy. It does not burn the chest skin, so that is a major plus. It really penetrates to help loosen up chest congestion, of course, plenty of tea and water help as well. Just make sure you get some rest when you are not at the top of your game.
When I recently had a very congested chest this rub helped me feel better.
I've been using this on myself and my daughter during spring allergy and cold season, and it has helped us both with nighttime breathing. I also use it on the soles of my daughter's feet when her allergies cause her to cough a lot at night. My daughter also thinks the tin makes a great teether! :-P
I ordered a small tin of the Aromatic Chest Rub just to sample it ahead of the cold season. I'm honestly not sure why I thought I would need a small size to ensure that my family would love it. A few days after it arrives and one of the little ones offered use a chance to put it to use. The scent is so mild and calming, yet manages to clear stuffed sinuses without the overpowering mint/menthol combo that other chest rubs use. It doesn't leave skin and nasal passages sensitive, but still works just a vigorously. Another one to love from The Badgers.
I don't need to have chest congestion to use this rub. I like to use it in the evening to help me relax because I find the scent is light and soothing.
Winter Wonder Balm is your dream come true if you have a respiratory virus. You might even find yourself eagerly waiting for your next cold so you can crack this can open and indulge in its soothing healing qualities and heavenly scent. I don't use it so much as a chest rub but put it on my lips and nostrils. It keeps my airways open all night and my poor sore nose is completely healed by the morning. This is especially helpful for those of us pregnant or breastfeeding who can't take over-the-counter cold medicine. I bought a tin for everyone for Christmas :)
My husband was recently diagnosed with COPD. The constant coughing especially at night was horrible. A friend tolde about your products and I ordered the chest rub. I rub his chest and back 2 x a day and his cough is 99 % gone. We can sleep through the night. Will never be without. Just ordered 10! ♥️
I admit I was skeptical when I first opened the tin. I grew up using the potent smelling big name brand, however, I quickly fell in love with Badger's chest rub. This stuff works so well! It's not strong, overpowering, doesn't leave a harsh residue, and works quickly. I live in KY so I get congested just by existing lol. I recommend this product to anyone that wants a less harsh chest rub that truly works.
I love chest rub ointment, especially in the winter and I love the moisture this chest rub provides. On the downside, this ointment could use quite a bit more essential oil. I was expecting to have a very aromatic sensation when I opened up the tin, but was a little disappointed. The olive oil smell is a little dominant.
This balm is really solid in the tin, making it hard to get out and spread on your chest. I was disappointed in the scent as well, because it doesn't seem nearly strong enough to stand on its own as a "chest rub", like Vicks does. However, the ingredients are very good and you don't have to expose yourself to the chemicals that a product like Vicks contains. I give points for that!
