I love Fiskars scissors. I use these for fabric only. It gives a nice clean cut. The motion of the scissors is smooth. The handle feels good in my hand. There is very little resistance while cutting. These stay sharp long and when needed they sharpen easily. I would recommend these for anyone that does sewing or crafts with fabric.
LOVE these scissors! They are so sharp and the handle is molded right to my size hand, like they were made just for my hand. Great color to stand out, I never lose them in my sewing room. They made cutting right thru pillows a dream and thick material a breeze.
I am enjoying using my Fiskar scissors. They are sharp and feel great in the hand. - The handles are ergonomically shaped. The handle and blades seemed designed to lay flatter so they glide along when cutting. I cut foil wrap as pictured below to show the shape and design of the scissors on the contrasting white wrap. I also used them to make a no-sew blanket. They worked perfectly on fleece material. They cut through with ease and my hand did not tire. These scissors seem as if they are going to be great for all my fabric cutting needs.
I received the Fiskars Original Orange-Handled 8 inch Stainless Steel Scissors from the Walmart Spark Reviewer program in exchange for my thoughts and opinions on this product. The product comes with a sturdy, thick, hard plastic handle. Shaped nicely for easy gripping. The blades are stainless steel. They open and close very easily. No sticking to the other blade. The packaging says they are great for cutting fabrics but I have only used to cut paper. The cut is so straight and nice. Blades are sharp enough to literally glide through cutting paper. Really made my Christmas wrapping a breeze! I didn't have to open and close the handles. I love these scissors. I would like a few more for my home. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a nice pair of scissors. You won't be disappointed.
As a Spark Reviewer, I appreciatively received these fabric scissors for free, in exchange for my honest opinion. My daughter & I both LOVE crafting, especially around the Holidays! Well, anyone who has ever used a basic pair of scissors to cut felt, heavy-weight material, or yarn can relate to how frustrating it is using everyday scissors that are dull and uncomfortable to use. Instead of getting a clean cut, the material edge ends up looking jagged and rough! Also, ill fitting scissors can easily cause fingers unnecessary pain and cramping. After using the 8” bent handle Fiskars Orange-Handled Scissors, we were impressed with the ease of use and comfort they provided! It really made a difference for our crafting projects this year. The scissors glided through the materials effortlessly and left a perfectly clean edge every time! Cutting multiple layers at once was a breeze and saved us a lot of time. After hours of creating beautiful gifts for family and friends, not once did either one of us have aching fingers from using basic scissors. The quality and lifetime warranty of these ergonomic, stainless steel, light-weight scissors makes my daughter and I feel confident that we have a dependable tool around to help make crafting even more FUN! Highly recommended by two avid crafters!
I have been sewing for many, many years and have owned the Fiskars brand as long as I can remember. Reason being is, this brand is very sharp and, can cut throw layers and layers of all fabrics with smooth edges. Very light weight and fits very comfortable with no blisters while using them.
I have been sewing for over 55 years so I was delighted when the Fiskars Original Orange-Handled 8 Stainless Steel Scissors arrived. I have several pairs of Fiskars but one can never have too many. As you can see in the photo the scissors cut through 6 layers of fabric with out n hitch or snag. Very good sewing tool.
My grandma and my mother used these all the time when I was a kid. The kids were not allowed to use them because they were the "good" scissors. So when I started learning how to quilt I used these and another more expensive brand recommended by my instructor. These scissors are just as good. They are very sharp. They are very smooth cutting. They do cut all the way to the tip. I am right handed and these did not hurt my hand at all. The handle fit to my hand very well. So I am proud to now have a pair of the orange handled scissors in my quilting box.
I received this Fiskar's Original Orange Handled 8” Stainless Steel Scissors for free for completing an honest review of the product for the SPARK Review Program. It arrived promptly and in good condition. I have purchased this type of scissors for years and have always been pleased with the price, durability and cutting ability of this item. The one I received this time lives up to that experience. Great scissors for a great price.
I love Fiskars scissors for cutting fabric or paper as they are usually always sharp and will cut through most anything within reason. I do have a lot of Fiskars scissors so this new pair was quite a surprise to me. This passed week I have been using a pair of Fiskars scissors that will not even cut through silk. See picture included. They have a total dead spot in the middle of both blades that will not cut any fabric. I have in all my years of buying scissors never found this in a pair of Fiskars scissors. When this happened I looked to see where they were made and it says on my package,"Designed by Fiskars in USA, Made in Vietnam. The USA usually engraved in the scissors is gone. I have tried to cut cotton, denim, muslin, silk, knit and all to no avail. The materials all caught in the dead spot in the middle and will not cut all the way through. I know that Fiskars is usually a great scissors but not this pair. It is only sharp in the very first few millimeters of the blade and on the last inch of the tip of the blade. The middle part of the blade is just twisting the fabric and there is no cutting action at all and no hope of it cutting either. The handles are nice and comfortable to use. Unlike most handles on Fiskars scissors which had a hard plastic like feel these have a softness to the material so as not to wear on your thumb and tire your hand out. I really like the way they fit in my hand but they are no good for cutting fabric. The packaging states "Sharper Blades. Perfect for Fabric." Not working for this pair of scissors. I use my scissors to cut fabric everyday so this will not work for me. Oh I did try to cut a piece of paper and it does cut through the paper with a little help. So instead of this of scissors going in my fabric only cutting box they are going to the paper cutting only box. There is nothing worse than needing a pair of scissors to cut fabric and it won't cut and the store is closed. I hope this is just an isolated incident!!! I would still recommend Fiskars brand but I will say as a word of caution to please always check your scissors upon purchasing and not leave them lay in the package until you need them. This is my honest opinion of the Scissors I received for this review and gave them a two because they will cut paper. Does not matter how long I have had them they will not cut fabric and it said they would. :(
