We have purchased this brand of scissors for the past three school years. They last year after year. They stand behind the quality of these scissors. So much so, that each package has a lifetime warranty. Realistically, do I expect these to follow my kids until they are 40. Ummm no. But I will tell you what, they will last through elementary school and that's close enough for me! I love that they have cute designs each year for those of us who have kids that like to go against the grain! I must say, the design on these scissors may be my favorite thus far! Spend the extra for the quality. You won't regret it.
These Fiskars Designer Non-stick Pointed-tip Kids scissors are great for younger kids. Very easy to use, don't have to worry about them getting cut. They do cut paper very well for art projects for younger kids. My kids love these scissors. They love the design, how easy they cut and are so much better than others they had been using. I would recommend these scissors to anyone with young children. I did receive this item for free to try for being a spark reviewer.
This is the cutest kids scissors I have ever seen!! The set I received has a variety of brightly animals on the handles. These scissors are the perfect size my my child's hand (ages 5 and 8 years old). I love how effortlessly they cut through paper. I also like how these scissors can accommodate both right and left hand users. These scissors are tough enough to cut through about any paper but the blades are not sharp enough to cut children's skin. I still keep an eye on my kids whenever they use them, but thus far, they have used them with absolutely no issues. It says that these scissors are recommended for ages 4+ and I think they would be perfect for school projects, art and crafts at home or just to cut out pictures in magazines to glue down. Overall, I could not be more happy with these adorably cute scissors and I will continue to buy this brand the next time my kids need scissors.
I recently received the “Fiskars Designer Non-stick Pointed-tip Kids” scissors and was pleasantly surprised by what came in the mail. I was expecting the usual scissors that you see but when I opened the packaging I was excited to see the blade was actually a black color which made it seem less kid like. I also really loved the space picture that was all over the handles. I actually use the scissors for my crafting and love them. The blade of the scissors really are non-stick which is awesome when you're dealing with glue, tape or anything else that's really sticky. I like that the tip is pointed because it helps get into really tiny spaces that need cutting. The finger loops on the scissors are larger so they can fit an adult hand comfortably. Both left and right handed people are able to use the scissors which is great! The scissors are very light weight which is awesome when you have a lot of cutting to do because it doesn't tire your hand out like other scissors seem to do. The handle of the scissors have a nice sleek plastic design that also help when cutting for long periods of time because they don't leave an indent that some scissors can.
I received these Fiskars Designer Non-stick Pointed-tip Kids scissors to try out and they are a great addition to our school room for my big kids. These are labeled as kids scissors but I was surprised at how sharp these are and how they can cut much more than paper. I would definitely consider these a scissor for kids that are very responsible with scissors and know the safety of when to use then. They have a pointed tip too so it makes them great for doing those more intricate projects. Currently, my 1st grader is using these and they are really great for her. I don't think I will let my preschooler use them quite yet. I prefer more of a learning style cutting scissor for younger children for the simple fact that I want the learning scissors to cut paper but not much else. These Fiskars Designer Non-stick Pointed-tip Kids scissors cut fabric, paper, and so many other material.... they are more like my scissors but only smaller. The pattern and design on them make them super cute and easy to tell which pair belongs to who. Overall, these are great for kids who are ready to use "real scissors". I would definitely recommend them to others.
These are great! Both my kids and myself use these almost daily. I actually use them to cut up my green onions. But my kids use them for homework and crafts. The black non-stick blade is sharp looking and makes these very appealing to the eye, considering the vivid contrast to the bright colored handle-grips. These are easy for my 4 and 6 year olds to use. They're comfortable for me too. I really like the whole idea about these not getting sticky by glue...plus I think that will aid in rust prevention. Genius. They seem really well-made and should last years and years.
These scissors work great for kids. I watched my 5-year-old use these effortlessly. They cut well and fit my children's hands very nicely. They fit adult hands pretty well too. They are designed for children ages 4 and up. It has a slightly rounded pointy tip, and cuts smoothly. When I took them out the package it had a light yellow oil on the nail joint area. I appreciated seeing that as it was screwed pretty tight. The actual scissor cutting blades are black and with the design on the handles it looks pretty cool! The package says the scissors work for right- and left-handed users, has an ergonomic thumb loop, and has non-stick blades that prevent residue build-up when cutting adhesive materials. I haven't cut any adhesive materials with these so I can't confirm or negate that claim. The package also says it comes with a full lifetime warranty, “Good for as long as you own the product.” That's good to know. The package also says the scissors are ideal for cutting foam, felt, tape, polyester, poster board, ribbon, cardboard, cardstock, cotton, fabric, and construction paper. The color and design on my scissors are unisex to me and that makes things easier so that my children don't fight over who gets the “girl” scissors or “boy” scissors”.
Love the colors, the grip and the non stick surface! My six year old used these right away and really liked how they cut. I liked the swirly colored handle grips and really liked the non stick coating on the blades. They can get so gunked up with stuff this will definitely be a plus!

These are great kids scissors. They cut very well, and seem to be very well made. The design though is what really sets them apart. Our school mascot is an astronaut, so we got the outer space theme scissors. All the kids loved them, and so did the teachers. They are easy to use for my littlest elementary student (age 5), and still comfortable enough for me to use them also when I'm helping. We have purchased a few of these in the past, and they have never worn or broken. They always just get lost, but they are not too expensive, so it does not break the bank to get another pair. Great scissors for kids for school or home use. They're also good for the little ones to use because they have a blunt tip.
