I'm very happy with the Equate Transport Wheelchair. The wheelchair is comfortable to sit in and it rides smoothly. It is lighter in weight and comes with detachable foot/leg rests making it easier to store or get in the trunk. I now can go out for longer periods of time and not be so tired. I received the Equate Transport Wheelchair from Home Tester Club for free in exchange for my unbiased opinion. This truly is a great wheelchair and now I will be able to get out of the house and live again.
This is not your typical wheelchair. It's a transport chair, and the reason it's dicferent is because of the weight. Where this one is much more lightweight which makes it easy for you to be able to wheel yourself. When it first arrived, I was amazed at how much lighter it was. To be honest I thought it was going to say a little more. Making it easier for the user to wheel without needing someone behind. You have the adjustable foot petals. With plenty of room. Also this chair folds very easily and portable to go places. The seat is a little better then standard as far as comfort. Equate has been a brand I've trusted for years and will continue to trust.
I got this for my 83 year old mother, she's 150 lbs. The chair itself is a little heavy for me, I'm 60, but I was able to manage putting it in my SUV. It's a good size, so I don't think it would fit into a regular size car. very sturdy and well made. It came with removable foot rests. It's easy to push. I would recommend this product
This Equate wheelchair is an excellent value. very well built, comparable to better known brands. it is quite comfortable, easy to collapse for easy transport in a trunk. The arms atejust the perfext height when eating out they areunder the take, out of the way. It has removable foot rests, which 8s necessary. We are very pleased with the product.
My brother had a fairly major surgery and he did need to keep he foot raised. The wheelchair was simply for transport services and to get one through insurance was a long drawn out process. He decided this was a good price to avoid insurance. Its well made and easy to put together… easy to fold. One thing to keep in mind: If you are purchasing for some one who needs their leg or foot raised while in the chair… this chair does not allow for that. Otherwise it is excellent!
pros: it was easy to set it up. it seemed to roll easily. cons: too heavy for me (small woman) to get in and out of car. We set it up, rolled it a few feet, folded it, and tried to pick it up. too heavy, so we put in in the box and returned it to a different Walmart. return process was stated in the app, and completed in the store. super easy return process and instant refund.
it's a very nice wheelchair but it's way too heavy for me to pick up and move I'm 70 years old I wanted something lightweight and small the only way 120 lb and under 5 ft tall so it is quite heavy
i would like to order adjustable leg rest that can lift since i need to keep my foot up. i thought this had that and did not realize untill we got it that it did not have it. would gladly order separately.
When purchasing the wheelchair we received the option for $80 for assembly. I've never put a wheelchair together so I paid for the service. The box literally says no assembly required. The $80 was a waste of money and assembly help should not be offered on this product
Awful process. Was told I could pick it up after 7 per the website. Then was told it was unavailable, but that it could be delivered. Then was told that it could not be delivered either. And now there is a hold on my credit card. Awful process and very misleading.
