This calculator was exactly what my husband was looking for and at a great price. Walmart.com shipped it to the store for us and we had it in just a few days.
Excellent product, easy to use and quick when needing metric conversions.
Product works as it should ,works well and fast, A little high in price.
I bought this calculator for the metric conversion feature. I use a sewing/embroidery machine and software that is made by a Swiss company and the metric system is used for their calculations. I frequently need these measurements converted and this was the perfect solution.
I own the previous version (EL-344G) which is still going strong after a decade worth of daily use except for a key or two which are losing contact. This version is vastly improved - battery is much stronger to work in lower light conditions, 3 new keys (green + yellow) are very helpful. The a-b-c key means I can punch in 6 ft 3/8 inches (or any fraction) directly. I've yet to use the rate set/recall function but the instructions (you will need a magnifying glass to read them even if you have 20-20 vision!) are clear and helpful. Also, the flip case/cover (not shown in the product photo) makes it portable and protects it well.
Makes conversions a snap, including fractions. I would liked to have seen a mm_in button but the programable A-B button works just as well. Overall, it suits my needs!
This unit isn't to awful to figure out. It seems to work just fine for me and my wife.
My metric calculator died after many many years. I was not able to find a metric converting calculator in any store so was really happy to buy it online from Walmart. It does the job perfectly!
