It's now July 22, 2014 and I am still doing quite well with my using the Aveeno Eczema Therapy products for controlling my condition. Again Thank you Aveeno for you wonderful products, I don't know what I would do without them.
I had hives back in 1999, due to an allergic reaction to a medication i was taking and a friend suggested i use aveeno oatmeal bath treatment to help clear up the hives. Believe me it really worked.
I used this when my children had chicken pox. One was older and had a bad case and this helped with the itching immensely.
I had a severe rash and seeping lesions on my feet, legs, thighs that was progressing up to my arms, hands, buttocks and face, since January 11, 2014. I doctored with this rash from the onset of it, being told it was allergic reaction, fungus, bacterial infection, athlethics foot gone bad, dermatitis, etc. I tried everything under the sun to get rid of it, even a prescription for Bactrim, nothing, nothing worked the rash and lesions only got worse. My doctor decided on March 04, 2014 that it was coming from my medications and took me off of them to no avail it still was presistant. I became quite discourged on March 22, 2014 and began looking on the internet to see if I could resolve it. I found pictures of Nummular Eczema that were identical to my problem. I suggested to my physican on my visit a couple of days later could it be Nummular Eczema and the answer was no. However, I disagreed with the doctors reaction so I looked up the treatment for on March 25, 2014 Nummular Eczema and it was recommend to us Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema Bath Therapy, Eczema Therapy Treatment Mosturizing Cream, and Body Wash. I went out immediately and bought all three products. I came home and first took a shower with the body wash, then proceed to soak for 25 minutes with the bath therapy, followed by applying the mosturizing cream to all of the areas, then applied the cream in the later day. To my surprise in 48 hours they began to improve. And by the way my doctor called back a couple of days later and agreed with me about my self diagnosis, after researching further. I continued to shower with the body wash, then soak daily for 1 week, followed by applying the cream once after the soak and then later in the day. On the 2nd week I decreased the soaks to every other day, still pre showering with the body wash and applying the cream 2 times daily. Much to my pleasure it is April 07, 2014 and the rash and lesions are gone ! ! In two weeks Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema products cleared up what my doctor was unable to do in 2 2/12 months. I am now down to just showering daily with the body wash and applying the cream daily. This will be my routine for the rest of my days. Thank you Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema products for healing the rash and lesions.
This product is simply fabulous! Our daughter had a rash outbreak the other day mostly on her neck and torso. We used this product in the past when she was little with chickenpox so we knew this would be the best thing for her again. She would soak in the tub for an hour and according to her, it's very soothing and does not leave her skin feeling dry when she gets out.
My mom always had beautiful skin, but I was was the one with severely dry skin. Well, several months ago, she stated getting a rash from head to toe. We thought about any detergents or any new products but nothing worked. So then she went to the doctor, and of course, they put a steroid on it. It went away, and the rash came back fighting. So, off to the doctor again, but she left with more steroids and an eczema diagnosis. It just wasn't getting any better. Then, a trip to the pharmacy made her day. She bought the whole line including the wash, lotion and soap. I have a two year old and we use eczema baby on him. When she saw it in the store, it rang a bell. Well, the rashes are GONE. I have chronic eczema, and these oatmeal bath packets save me every time. Normally water dries my skin out, but when I soak with one of these dissolved in the tub and then use the Eczema Therapy lotion afterwards, my skin actually feels normal!
I have itching hands and so I soaked them in a bucket for 20 minutes with this product. Result--sore and tender fingertips and peeling skin! I went to a skin clinic and explained this. They offered no remedy other than to wait and let the skin slowly heal! Horrible experience. No warning on the label!
