I am thrilled Walmart has come out with an equate brand for this. It has 2% salcic acid and it is effective, good texture. It is a scrub so if that isn't what you are looking for don't get it. But the granules are very small and itis a good exfoiliator. It's not super thick at all. Just a nice texture. It works great for me. I will continue to buy it. Great price in the store too as you can buy single ones.
First, what I got is not what is pictured (see photo). Second, this is a very thick paste-like scrub with very coarse blue-colored granules. These do not seem to dissolve, so you can imagine how coarse. So, if you got softer skin, stir away from this product. If you got thicker and tougher facial skin that needs a really good cleaning, this may be for you. It does not foam up very well, so it seems to get used-up quicker than other products I have used (such as Clean and Clear Daily Pore Cleanser which is much finer and comfortable on a sensitive face for sure!). Actually, this product seems to be a thicker version of the Equate Mild Exfoliating body wash - just in a small container for the face!
This stuff was AWFUL. Maybe my skin is just really sensitive, but I used this for a few days and it made me break out like crazy with big red pimples all over my chin and forehead. If you have sensitive skin, I would definitely recommend Cetaphil.
I've been using this product twice a day for a month now & see no difference in my skin after. I have severe blackheads in my nose that I can't seem to get rid of, no matter what products I use (masks, pore strips, scrubs, etc.), so I decided to just try this on a whim. It's not very expensive, but it doesn't work either. Guess I will continue on my quest to see how many others products I can use to rid my blackheads.
