I can't find my original review...but I initially had problems after just a few months with the bin not emptying on its own. I replaced all the brushes and then the entire cleaning module as suggested. Total cost around $100, and it still didn't work. I posted all of this, along with my frustrations, and customer support contacted me immediately. They suggested a few things, which I had already tried. They then sent me a new Clean Base, at no charge, even though I was out of warranty. It arrived within a couple of days and my vacuum has worked perfectly since then! I definitely give 5+ stars to customer support!!
My iRobot is powerful and does a thorough job. Even when my dog had an accident, my iRobot powered right through that pile of Poop over and over, trying to break it down and suck it up. It kept right on going over my living room carpet until eventually it made it to my kitchen, where I finally came down stairs that morning to find the fecal Jackson Pollock. After I got over the initial shock and horror, I was thoroughly impressed that in did not break. The design is pretty top notch to keep the sludge of poop out of the mechanics and battery. It was very easy to take apart and clean. It came with replacement rollers, brushes, and filter to make it even easier.
Does a great job picking up dog hair. I use to get so upset by all the hair on the floor after I swept it up. Now my Rooma Baby does it all.
This item has a Italian plug on the end. For the price i could have gotten something else that was ready to go, but no where in the description does it say we would pay 400$ and then have to spend another 20$ on a adapter just to get it up and running. If you ask me kind of ridiculous, again considering the price tag.
iRobot did not surprise US. After spending three weeks time on searching the BEST robot vacuum finally nailed to this i3 but it failed in basic function of returning Home dock
The vacuum works when it wants to set up was difficult. Walmart refused to return just days after purchase. Have no idea why. Receipt was on my phone. When you pay almost $400 for a product you expect it to be what you paid for. Do not purchase this, if you are brave and still want to buy don't purchase it from Walmart.
Do not buy this if you have floor rugs that you care about. I used it for a week and my rug got chewed up by the brushes. There is no "keep out" zones available with this model and the barrier add ons that iRobot sells cannot be placed in the middle of the floor where people walk. The company will not take the product back, so I am stuck with this useless $400 vacuum.
I think I made a wrong decision buying this device. First, its dust bag is not eco friendly. Its a disposable dust bag. You have to buy new ones when they are full. And now, after 5 months of using it, it behave very bad. It doesn't function properly or the way it supposed to. It goes and cleaned only in one spot. Even if I placed it in a different spot it still go in one specific spot. I tried resetting it to its factory default and it still doing the same thing. I am actually here at Walmart right now trying to get it replaced, but they didn't do it. I thought I have 1 year warranty for it under Walmart.
Would love to give 0 stars. We have an original roomba that is 6 years old, never had any issues with it. Decided to get a second with the self emptying option (i3+) and have owned it for two months when the cleaning head module went out and needs replaced. TWO MONTHS! I cannot believe we have to spend so much money to fix this after spending over $500 on it in the first place.
This has been a waste of time and money. I had a Eufy that was absolutely wonderful and vacuumed pet hair with no problems. I thought I was upgrading when I purchased this Roomba but boy, was I wrong! It does indeed pick up the pet hair...but then spits it back out in tight little wads all over the house. Roomba customer service has been great and they sent me out a second machine to try but it is the same result. I have to use my regular vacuum to clean up at my Roomba so what's the point?
