I love this product!! My hair is medium brown and this kit guves me light, ash blonde highlights. No brassiness, thanks to the toner that is included in the kit! I have used this product for a couple of years now to maintain my highlights, so i have saved money not gaving to go to a salon for color. Now i have several family members that use this product as well. We love it!!!!
if you follow the directions and make sure your highlights have completely processed before rinsing ( I leave mine on at least 10-12 minutes past the time that it suggestsin the pamphlet) processed completely will look snow white and still processing will have a orange-yellowish tint. You will be quite pleased with the results if you trust my advice. I pull one strand and skip 2 then repeat. i do not recommend using every hole. and make sure your hair is dirty! I've learned freshly washed hair doesn't take as well as it does on dirty hair. Good luck!
I have brown hair that was recently colored but decided to try this kit since I was wanting some highlights. I was skeptical but it actually turned out great! I will say that it is time consuming pulling all the hair through and definitely requires a second set of hands. I pulled my hair through every circled hole. I kept the color on for about 40 minutes or so; until my hair no longer looked yellow. It turned out better than I would have ever expected! I added before and after pictures.
I seriously can't say enough good things about this highlight kit. I bought it in Caramel, H65. I've had my hair highlighted at salons several times, and done it myself (with other kits) twice. Whether at the salon or at home, my naturally medium-to-dark-brown hair always turned out brassy, yellow, or orange. Only once have I gotten the light, white-ish, ash blonde color that looks best on me—and that was when my hair was Virgin. When I saw that this kit was made for dark hair, and that it came with a toner (I've never seen a drugstore kit that includes toner!), I took the chance and bought it. I am absolutely amazed by the results. My highlights are a perfect light ash blonde, with NO brass—and they're so well-blended. To achieve the results pictured, I followed the “crown highlight” directions by pulling hair through every few holes from the crown to my hairline on top and both sides. This was a great method for long hair. I left the bleach on for a full hour (my hair is stubborn), and towel dried before applying toner. In my opinion, this is the BEST at-home highlight kit you can buy for brass-prone hair!
Super easy to use. I got this color with one use. I used a gloss treatment after using this highlighting kit. My hair still feels healthy after use and no breakage. After dying I made sure to leave the after rinse purple solution on for a bit to help with yellow tones.
Please don't stop carrying this product it's made it sustainable to achieve blonde streaks/highlights for more than 2 months. I've purchased it 4 times %26 the outcome is insane. %26 as someone w natural black/dark brown hair that's saying something. Such an underrated hair kit. As long as L'Oréal sells this I won't be spending 200 plus dollars at the the hair salon any time soon.
I got beautiful results, easy to use.Use black marker to circle the holes you will use and pop hole BEFORE using. Also do NOT rinse out toner, the last step. Also less is more in regards to amount of hair to pull though cap. My husband helped me with the back of head. I recommend help with that.
So so yellow leaving it in for 2 hours wouldn't have got the yellow out and my hair was already light
I have a medium to brown hair and I bought the frost & design H65 caramel. I did all the process and I let the product in my hair for 45 minutes.. my hair is COMPLETELY ORANGE! I used the toner but not even close to work. I am terrible. I normally used the revlon frost and glow and I decided to give a chance for L'orel. It was the worst decision I made in my life. Don't know how to go out of home to buy a product to cover this color from my hair
I bought this to get subtle highlights after consulting with someone on here as the product I normally use has been discontinued. After the highlights my hair was orange, i used the shampoo and toning now it is brassy and fried the ends of my hair.
