This lightly-scented lotion is the favorite one I've bought in years. I have one on my desk at work, another at home. Hydrating but not oily--it really works!! I also hate heavily scented products or eventually grow tired of them, so the very light scent to this lotion is perfect for me (and also perfect if my boyfriend wants to use it and not smell girly!)
I love this lotion - in fact, I don't use anything else - but that may change now that the scent is different. It's not that it smells bad, I just prefer the lighter scent of the old formula. I'm giving the new product a try, but so far I really miss the old fragrance. The new version isn't something I can use all the time because it will overpower my perfume, or at the very least, make me smell like I just walked out of a popular mall lotion retailer - so that's disappointing. I'll have to buy something else to carry with me during the day. Also, I'm not sure how much of your market is made up of men, but my husband liked the old product and isn't at all interested in the new version because of the revised scent. I would still recommend this to a friend because of the quality of the lotion, but now I'll have to add a disclaimer about the new, fruity fragrance.
I used to love this stuff. I went to whole foods today and had trouble finding it. Then I realized that they changed the bottle. Got home and used the stuff and was disappointed that the scent has changed. It's still great stuff but I love love loved the old scent. Please change it back. Thanks.
I miss the old product- I have very sensitive skin issues and this cream is the only one that gives relief when my skin flares up. Please bring back the old formula. The new one does not indicate that the shea butter is the west African shea butter. Does that mean it is not anymore. It is very hard to find any other product that compares however the fragrance on the new product is much stronger and fruity and does not compare to the original. Please bring back the original formula.
I can't comment on the previous version people are wanting back because I don't think I've tried it. I will say that I love this body cream. It has a beautiful texture and fine scent. The ingredient list cements my satisfaction with the product. It's very well considered and I appreciate that.
A number of years ago I first tried your shea butter body cream--and bought several tubes as the store was going out of business. Later, when I needed a new supply, I found that I couldn't find it anywhere. Finally got a computer, found you, ordered the product, and was slightly disappointed that the cream didn't have the wonderful scent I remembered. I didn't realize that you had changed the scent--just thought that my age was catching up with me! The product still performs well--but primary reason for using your shea butter over other brands was the subtle--very satisfactory--scent. Please go back to original scent. Thanks.
Okay, I accidently stumbled upon this lotion sampling at a natural food store when I lived in the Bay Area. I have very sensitive skin and allegies to most fragrances. Remarkably , my skin did not have a problem with older version. When I moved to Florida, I literally combed every [...] store searching for the old product but could not find it! I thought it was my location, then I went online to order only to find that you changed the formula and packaging. Please for the love of God bring back the old version, this new stuff is way to strong smelling and does not soften my dry eczema ridden skin like the older version. Or if you dont want change this new formula keep both. I think the census is pretty much the same as the older version was much better.
I loved the shea butter with royal jelly and honey. My skin just soaked it up and it really got rid of the dryness. The new formula with the cactus extract works well, too, but I don't like the fragrance -- smells like an after-shave to me and is too strong. Please bring back the old formula.
I started using this product about six months ago. It was so light and refreshing, and so good to my skin. I just loved it. It seems the fragrance has changed now. It is a much more fruity and "ordinary" compared to its original fragrance. So sad! Wish you would keep the original fragrance. Thanks for making this anyway. It feels good to my skin.
This would be so much better if it were more than 12 FL OZ.
