I've tried many other brands of home hair coloring and this is the one that has worked the best for me. Nice hair color retention, doesn't dry out your hair and has less tendency towards that brassy tint after a while for brunettes. The conditioner that comes with the kit is great...doesn't weigh down your hair and makes your hair nice and shiny. Love the John Frieda hair care products.
This is my first time using John Freida Precision Foam Colour and I was not disappointed! The product mixed easily and application was just as easy. BUT the color is magnificent-the brown is vibrant, natural looking and shining-I couldn't be more pleased with the result.
I only started coloring my hair all -over last year. I have short medium brown hair that I highlighted professionally for years. Too many grays popping up now. So I would color hair then go to salon to have highlighted. Product I was using always faded too much and I wound up with almost one color of too light hair. This happened even though I used a color shampoo and wore a hat in the sun. I tried John Frieda and it seemed to fade less. Also, no smell and no irritation of scalp or skin. This is definitely a plus. I used the lighter ash brown shade first of John Frieda (left on 30 minutes) and it came out too dark (but then highlighted it so it didn't matter). When it came time to color again, I wanted to use up what I had left of old brand of color (mistake) and it faded, etc. This last time I used this shade (Lightest Cool Almond Brown) and only left on for 20 minutes. It had to cover old highlighting and grays. Really had to correct the old color. Did a good job that I am undecided if I will highlight again. I might need to still go a little lighter next time if I don't highlight - maybe the 7PBN Dark Cool Pearl Blonde color to get a light brown color Best thing is there is no brassiness. I would recommend but be careful because the color can come out darker than on the box and I found it fades very little - which actually if you achieve the color you want, is good.
This is the first foam hair color that looks natural on me and that I am not allergic to the product. PLEASE DO NOT discontinue this color. There is nothing on the market to replace it.. I and 4 of my friends use this product and this color . We are asking you PLEASE DO Not discontinue this color. Thank you for your consideration.
I just found out this color has been discontinued and I am very disappointed!! Trying to buy up what is left and apparently I am not alone as this is now flying out of stock everywhere. This is the perfect Light Ash Brown color and it does not turn brassy like other brands so please reconsider this discontinuation!
I have a lot of experience coloring my hair myself but I also have many years with an excellent stylist doing my color so I know how it's supposed to look. This Lightest Cool Almond Brown is the PERFECT light brown color. This is truly my "matches-my-childhood-hair" color. It doesn't go on too dark and it doesn't wash down to any brass or red tones. Many other light browns go on perfect but within a few washes show too many red tones or are overly golden, even the "natural brown" shades. This color is rich and multidimensional, not flat at all. It went on absolutely perfectly and I waited several weeks to write this review because I worried it would wash down too light but it hasn't. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. John Frieda foam color has always covered my grays 100% and this is no exception. I only show gray in the new growth. Two mega thumbs up!
I have used many brands of hair color over the past 10 years, but John Frieda's Precision Foam Color surpasses them all. The product is a foam that is very easy to apply. The instructions provided with the product and on the website are excellent. The result is a rich color with a lustrous shine. This is my new hair color product and I give it rave revues. John Frieda's Precision Foam Color is fantastic!
I was very hestiant about using a foam hair color, becuase I have genearally colored by hair using creme type colors from Sally's. HOwever, the color is amazing. I have naturally dirty blond hair. This puts me back to my natural hair color. It gives me shine, highlights, lowlights, all over color, you name it. It's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, it looks natural!
JF hair color left my hair soft, shiny and smelling great. My only complaint would be that it did not cover some of my stubborn greys. Weeks later, my hair color has not faded and still looks healthy and shiny. This color is a perfect natural brown; not too dark and no brassy red undertones.
I purchased the John Frieda precision foam color when I decided to cut down on my beauty costs. I picked this color because I don't like my hair to look brassy or too dark. The color is more of a mix between medium and light brown, and has beautiful multi dimensional highlights. It is one of the most natural looking colors I have ever used on my hair. I absolutely love it. The only issue that I have with the color is regarding the gray coverage. I have very stubborn grays, but it doesn't seem to cover them completely. I am about 25% gray. The coverage it does give seems to blend the grays into the hair color and they resemble highlights. I keep the color on my roots for at least 40 min, and pull it through the length for 10 min. I use this product every 3 to 4 weeks because my hair grows extremely fast. It's still soft with little damage. I would highly recommend this product, just leave the color on your roots longer than indicated. If u have long hair, u will probably need 2 boxes. The color smells terrific, and the after color conditioner is wonderful. So if u are looking for natural looking color, John Frieda is the color to buy. I am now a very loyal customer...
