I have bought this parrot food many times. It is a very good price and more importantly, It is consistently fresher than any parrot food online or even in pet stores. Honestly, this is one of the main reasons I go to Walmart.
Only feed Magie will eat.
I liked that this food had so many choices and variety of seeds, including peppers, whole peanuts and those little white seeds that my Sun Conure likes. I mix it with my regular bird food and she is always delighted when I feed her.
I feed my cockatoo seeds 2 -3 x a week and he love these!!
It feeds my Amazon as described. She consumes it into the void of her stomach. She rates it 10/10.
I have been buying this for years for my male Eclectus parrot. I have been told these seeds are like chip are to us for the parrot but I just give them to him throughout the month with his normal food. I really like this brand
I was going to do a pick-up but went to the store instead. Price for pick-up said 8.48 but at the store I was charged 9.24. I asked a couple of store associates but they didn't know.
I accidentally purchased this one instead of the usual and I'm removing 10x's the amount of sunflower seeds that I usually take out. The cardinals outside are happy but I don't want to see what this amount would do after a few weeks to our healthy parrot. These are not healthy sunflower seeds and no bird should eat this many and there's no way…..I see NO WAY, that the manufacturer does not know how unhealthy it really is!! It's what they do is it not? Supposed to be but I “see” otherwise in this bag. My guy does love cracking those peanuts though and there are hardly any in it and most are busted up which ruins that much for him.
Dusty, the black dust made me sick for thee days! Warning do not buy this food it contains titanium dioxide it's an agent that causes lung cancer! In bird food it contains red yellow and blue colors do not buy! and salmonella had also been found in bird food! Read the label! - - I used to but this food a long time ago, but switched to a healthier option when I learned that is was THIS food that most probably caused his blindness!!! - - Our regular brand was out of stock everywhere, so ordered this to hold us over until we could get his regular food, (with the intention of throwing it out for the wild birds later). When I opened the container, it was very dusty, causing me to sneeze, and there was a lot of tiny seeds (that our Lilac Crowned Amazon won't eat), so I got out the strainer to sift out the small seeds for the wild birds. The dust was so Horrible that I coughed for three days, it was in my throat and in my chest. After looking at what was left in the bottom of the strainer, I just threw the whole container out for the wild birds.
I have used this food for years and it has been fine up until lately. It's been arriving to my house and the food itself has been unsealed. I will not use any unsealed food for my birds. It's been my last 3 orders. I will now only use it if i get it from the store myself.
