replacing a feeder the squirrels chewed a hole in and it is holding up ! Have had it since September of last year
Have had a lot different types of finch feeders, but this one beats them all! so nice love the 8 ports, to take top off to refill just stays over attached to the side no having to set lid down then fill stays right on the hanger, the construction of this feeder is very nice and strong not a cheap looking feeder, love the metal hanger not a plastic one, got it filled and hung outside on my front porch can't wait for my finches to return to see their lovely new feeder!
This feeder attracted Finches right from the start and they appear to use it more than a more expensive one I have. I love that it has more ports and sitting areas for more birds
Birds love to eat from it thistle seeds and they do not blow out all over the ground with this feeder - great product at a very good price $16
They like it. I have 3 kinds of feeder for the finches now, and they uses all of them. I'm not a first timer of feeding wild birds. But this is my first time putting up for goldfinches.
My finches love this feeder and so do I! It is study, not a flimsy plastic like most finch tube feeders. I like how the bottom is constructed. With a small phillips head screw driver, I will be able to take the bottom off for easy cleaning if the seed gets wet from a heavy rain. It comes put together, all you have to do is slide the perches in. My birds are emptying this feeder every day.
Its a great product and the birds love it. It is often hard to find at various stores. I wish it were a little sturdier. The first one I ordered was cracked. It was not convenient to replace, so I kept it (its not as sturdy, but still usable) and bought another one.
The finches use this feeder more than other feeders I have.
I really don't want to be a "meanie," so I've given it 2 stars rather than 1. There doesn't seem to be enough openings/and or the openings (to the actual seeds) are not eye level enough. Anyway, I have another similar feeder, but there's a squirrel-prevention cage around it, and the little birds flock to it regularly. This all leads me to believe the item I'm reviewing has a design flaw.
A waste of money. We have 2 feeders about 8 feet apart. This one has only had 1 bird eating while the other has been re-filled .
