I originally wanted to just buy a bottle of acetone because I'm constantly doing my nails and I go through the stuff fast. Then I saw this and I gave it a go. It's awesome! Like someone else said, it tackles glitter polish like nobody's business!! I haven't tried it on acrylics, but I usually just take those off by slipping dental floss under them and breaking them off. Obviously it's going to take a while if you're just trying to use acetone to remove them. It seems like there's not a ton of acetone in this, so I know it'll eventually be so full of glitter and polish that it will turn gray, but at that point I'll just dump it and refill it. I love that it eliminates the hassle of cotton balls. Nothing upsets me more than trying to fix just one nail, but I end up with cotton sticking to all my other nails. Those days are gone!
I use nail polish strips and change them once every 1 - 2 weeks. But, I really hate taking the ones off that aren't just peeled off. I struggle for 20 minutes or longer, trying to scrub the strips off with my usual nail polish remover. So I bought this to try and it works perfectly! Takes less than a minute to get the strip off my nail. It also works great on regular polish and glitter. Never going back to my old remover again! Love it.
This was my second purchase of this item. It really works great!
While the pure acetone is drying, this is THE best polish remover I have ever used. It tackles glitter nail polish better than any other remover. It takes a little while to get used to. Instead of swirling your finger around in discolored foam, this remover has small flexible pieces of plastic that you run your nail against, in an up and down motion. To combat some of the drying effects from the acetone, you can add a small amount of glycerine and water directly into the tub. But you also should use a cuticle oil afterwards as well.
It arrived fast, only problem was that the lid was on so tight, I had to pry it off with a knife. I spilled most of it in the process, but it got the job done. The solution takes a little too long to break down the fake nail. Took me 3 days to get all nails off, not the said 15 minute soak. 35 minutes at the least. Would say this is more for the cheaper nails.
I love this product. It takes off your polish in a flash and feels good when the bristles scrub your nails.
This work very well, on gel nail it gets it all clean
im removing or trying to remove acrylic nail and it is taking FOREVER. you can only do 1 at a time. ive been on the same nail for at least 15 minutes. i think it will work very well for removing polish tho.
I purchased this product For gel/shellac nails, this is a very time consuming process. Soaking one nail at a time is not a good use of time, 20 minutes per finger, it would have taken over 3 hours! I put the product on a cotton ball and wrapped my fingers in foil as they at the salons. Worked innabout 20 minutes to soften the layers of polish enough to scrape it off my nails It would probably work best / quickly for regular polish with the brush to scrub off the polish.
This is just not something I would try again...did not easily remove polish and left skin and cuticles around my nails all dry. amazing that I ordered three items to save on shipping and Wal Mart shipped each separately...
